🤦
Nevermind the walled garden problem. We've got potentially great content locked behind different storefronts requiring different hardware for each.
In the quest for dominance, everyone is losing.
Like, I understand Valve's "no exclusive content" stance, but they really should consider pumping publishing money into vr software studios, but with an open platform clause. A healthy ecosystem of software will enable VR to thrive. Either that or engage in negotiations with the other players to create a VR collective agreement. It'll never happen, but one can dream.
Asian Wake 2 will likely never come to another platform. It's published by epic games. Not a timed exclusive situation.
Check out a a fiction title called the three-body problem by Cixin Lou. It's an interesting take on this issue.
FF7 (original) is famous because it was a huge jump from 2d pixel to 3d models. The original iteration had tank controls, and the game was long. But largely empty and slowed down by random encounters.
The new one changed the story dramatically. The next game will further deviate from the original.
There as a brief period in the early 00's where this kind of browser game was prevalent. I can't remember the names, but same concept. They were perfect for lunch period, issue commands, and hope you made the right choices when you logged in the next day.
Fossil offers a hybrid smartwatch now to full those shoes. I really liked mine when I had one, but it didn't fit my hands free needs well enough.
39, Philly. Up until my current VW, yes. Couldn't get a manual GLI when I was buying in 2021 and needed to make a decision. At least the dual clutch 7 speed DSG auto is fun as hell to drive and feels like a manual.
Sorry, Philly suburbs. :)
We don't need a meeting for everything. It could have been an email.
I have wireless android auto in my GLI. It's fine. There have been a few random instances where being connected wirelessly has been inconvenient. But my biggest gripe is the battery drain.
