Having worked both retail and call center, no, they're not in the same league. People can be assholes over the phone, absolutely, but it's quite different from face-to-face. Someone threatens to kill me over the phone, I can say "I'd like to see you try" and hang up, and the worst that happens is I get fired. In person, they can carry out the threat.

Funny, I've only been pulled over once on my bike, and I was just keeping up with traffic, which was going 80 to be fair... But he claimed I was going 97, so I had to go to court, where he lied his ass off to the judge, and I had to eat a $400 ticket plus whatever it did to my insurance... and I'm very white too, if I wasn't, who knows what that piece of shit might have done.

I thought like you at one time... I'd eat a bowl of cereal and be starving by 10:00, but I've been skipping breakfast for almost a year now, and the weird thing is I'm no more hungry at 10 than I was with breakfast - so if it's not staving off the hunger, what's the point?
