I started this one. I'll stand by it, really. The original threads were full of people 'ironic' hornyposting. The artist draws lewd bowser images.

Yeah, alright, it's not so horny coded that it should be banned - I came down too heavy on one side, probably because I was bored at the time. You would have to be. Clearly I still am.

But hear me out: if you were looking at this image on your phone, and an average woman peered over your shoulder, I think they would think 'oh, it's a gross little horny weaboo'. Perhaps take it a step further, what if it was your screensaver, or a poster in your room? People would assume the worst, because images like this are generally created and consumed in such a way.

I'm not just saying that either - I actually asked a bunch of my liberal women friends their general thoughts on the image. Most just said cringe, others said 'this is absolutely drawn to cater to a male gaze'. I did not get one positive response.

At the end of the day, they are intended to be attractive. The artist has made a choice to give them all conventionally attractive features in the face and body, that particularly cater to a western male gaze. That is all that can be said for it. Alright, the creator was NB or lesbian or something... but they have something to gain from things going viral, and it is pretty clear what qualities of this post drive its engagement.

Regardless, my final thought last time was that making nation states into anime girls is, if nothing else, cringe.

You could say it's unnecessary, but Gay bars at the time of release, and to an extent even to this day have this shit written on them, often as a reclamation of the term. Same goes for f*g - queer is now just part of the lingo, when it was a slur before. It's 'in your face', it's provocative, and I've seen people of such groups take pictures with those exact signs as a 'haha, that's us, we're f-gs/tr-nnies, fuck what ya heard' sort of thing.

Of course, there are different flavours of queer bar, some are much softer and strive for more of a safe space feel, but there are certainly a lot that lean more into being sleazy, punky, and even intimidating.

Perhaps I'm being too generous. I could accept that I am.

Edited. Thanks.

Yeah it's so sad to see, especially when you see his Children in Need appearance. Clearly a sweet kid caught up by the pressures of deprivation and online radicalisation.

As opposed to Juan Guaido, who was 'unilaterally' recognised (by the West) as the interim president of Venezuela, despite the fact that not even the opposition parties had agreed to support him. The only discussions were between Guaido and the U.S State Dept.

it was when USians started deliberately buying the diseased milk (to own the libs) that I felt China might realistically be #1 very soon.

It's very well defined. The term has been used for hundreds of years to refer to specific political attitudes. It was made meaningless by the American political machine, purposefully.

Do an ounce of research and you'll find three closely related definitions used by Marxists here:

Marxism is a political science. It is precise. That is one of it's many strengths.

A lot of it is misogyny, especially in the case of so called titty streamers that are really just women wearing normal clothes (leggings, tops with midriff) and then being hypersexualised.

However, I also think some of it's because in a lot of cases these people are shit at the games and not very entertaining. At the start of it I remember certain 'titty' youtubers were using fake gameplay. Their content is more based on sexual parasocial relationships. It doesn't really belong in the same space as a bunch of other entertainers.

What's the term for when they gradually walk information back? Has no one written a book on this process?

The CIA and other financial institutions already read books from leftist authors to find stats that they need to conceal - Super Imperialism — Michael Hudson

"Politicians in charge of national statistics encourage popular misunderstanding, but my statistical analysis tells a different story from what is widely believed. A few years ago I sought to update my calculations on the impact of U.S. military spending and foreign aid on the balance of payments. But the Commerce Department had changed Table 5 of its balance-of-payments report, dealing with foreign aid and other government programs, in a way that no longer reveals the extent to which foreign aid programs generate a transfer of dollars from foreign countries to the United States. I phoned the statistical division responsible for collecting these statistics, and in due course reached the technician responsible for the numbers. “We used to publish that data,” he explained, “but some joker published a report showing that the United States actually made money off the countries we were aiding. It caused such a stir that we changed the accounting format so that nobody can embarrass us like that again.”

I realized that I was the joker who was responsible for the present-day statistical concealment."

And:

"Well, I thought that this was going to be a warning to other countries. And indeed, there was a very quick Spanish translation and Japanese translation. But the main purchases, as we’ve talked about a year ago, were the CIA and the Defense Department.

Immediately Herman Kahn hired me to the Hudson Institute and gave a very large grant for me to explain to the government how imperialism was working. And the U.S. government used this as a how-to-do-it book."
