Oh I'm down in Naqoura, where I long to be, lying in the dark with my provo company, a comrade to me left and another one to me right, and a clip of ammunition in my little armalite.

It's incredible watching them slowly realise that they bet their hopes for utopia on a slightly more annoying customer service chatbot.

As someone who once was a transhumanist (back when there were still Socialists in the community) I almost feel bad for them. Almost. A lot of them are young and haven't yet realised that hope from tech alone is always, always hollow. What they do with that knowledge...well...I got better, but I was always communist.

There were border troops but they're token resistance. Russia prefers to give enemies space to overextend. There are regular forces being brought in from about 60km away and those seem to have already made contact.

Maybe Ukraine can pull off this, but they're taking an awful risk and Russia is historically much better at defence. One decent en echelon attack and all Russia needs to do is sit and wait for the fuel to run out. Their best case is that they get about 15km in and sit there, or do a deeper raid and run.

And if they do make it to Kursk, with 3 Brigades...what then? Putin finally mobilises and Ukraine has 6 months to live.

FInally, even if Putin has nothing, nothing at all, and they've got a clear thunder run to Moscow...He can just launch nukes, Battlefield to take out the columns, strategic at Kiev. He'll have nothing to lose.

The US intelligence establishment now writing reports on why it is essential we invade the rust belt to depose it's authoritarian government and impose the freedom of markets.

Dozens of RPG attacks?! Even a single fucking solid hit from a modern RPG-7 warhead is a mission kill. I know Hamas is under severe resource constraints but there's only so much even modern armour can do against a shaped charge. So I call fucking bullshit.

Taking this seriously, this pops straight out of the hyper-idealism of modern chuds. Formerly fascists were right-hegelians when they could muster the effort to read, but now they're naive idealists.

Instead of refuting baudrillard and crushing the "cathedral", like the NRx psudointellecutals tried to proclaim; they've turned Baudrillard on his head, and believe material reality is created by using symbology to form a hyperreality and then physically manifest it by violence. It's like a bastardised version of ritual Magick, the Order of the Golden Cudgel

Well, they're not coherent enough for that but if they were that's what they'd be described as doing .

So of course they're obsessed by symbols they really do believe they manifest reality.

Urk, Bavarian politics must not be fun to deal with (though I've had some nice times in Bavaria down near the Bodensee.)
