I've said it before. Liberals are narrativists. Everything must be a story for them, and if it's all going wrong? Well that's where the hero doubles down.

We saw this with Biden. First he was the stoic, refusing to move when all around him was chaos. Then when he stepped down the story changed, he became a saintly martyr.

Also given the fact that Rural China pre CPC was an unrelenting hellhole that Appalachia could not imagine, where a "rich" family was one that ate Wheat and not Millet, and had meat 3 times a year.

Jesus Christ people learn to aim.

EDIT: (very) preliminary reports suggest it might in fact be a chud.

Knew the Left wouldn't have done such a fucking amatuer hour attempt.

The news coming out of Rafah is horrific. I've deliberately avoided looking at the images, but I can't stop crying.

I'm not a third worldist, but even with the widespread protests in the west, how can this kind of injustice be resolved without something at least a little like a JDPON?

Every EMS I've known has hated cops with a white hot vengeance. One paramedic I knew said if they saw a cop blocking their way to a scene ever again they'd just accelerate.

As for the professor, bold of the cops to antagonise the usually easy to appease haute intelligentsia.

That poor bastard. I don't know if he was a comrade or simply someone who broke when confronted by US actions. But this is the least useful way to Martyr yourself, and Martyrdom is the least useful way of resistance.

Regardless, since he is a martyr, may he rest with those of Haymarket.

"I John Brown am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away, but with Blood. I had... vainly flattered myself that without very much bloodshed, it might be done"

Approving of all the jokes, but also remember, she was, much like the emperor in 40k, a rotting hub of an entire power network that the Democrats failed to transit away to a successor. This is a disaster for them as decades of institutional knowledge, power, and connections is wiped out and they scramble to fight amongst the scraps for their own patronage networks.

We're going to see this happen a lot, as neither the GOP nor the Dems have stable power transitions, elder retired statesmen, a formal ladder of heirachy, or even just a personal apprenticeship system. Every Gerontocrat that dies hollows the US state out in a way that decades of UK politicians actively trying could only dream of.

In the early days, this sub was constantly brigaded by chuds, terfs, libs, patsocs, wreckers and branches of leftism that were somehow even more online than us and had an irrational hatred of us for reasons that frankly I never cared enough to bother learning. Like any such place, that means we're used to people coming in "just asking questions" with a bad take, and turning out to be a concern troll rather than someone asking in good faith and open to changing their mind.

This produced a culture of radical, frank struggle sessions, an approach to moderation that the Cheka circa 1919 would think lacks due process (and is good and cool and has made this place possibly the most LGBT friendly place on the net.), and a bad habit of dunking for a laugh. We're not nearly as edgy as a first impression might give, though.
