What hope did this dumb fucking kid have, brought up in a fascist state, a rifle placed on his shoulder by his parents, and told he was a tier one operator by some guy whose claim to covert operations was sniping off the knees of 10 year olds. Should have done the brave thing and dodged the draft.

We get to call every lib a Nazi for the rest of time. They sat down at the Nazi table, they helped pay for the meal, they get the bill.

I am not letting them get away with this pants sitting apathy this time like they did with Rwanda. If they had any self consistency they'd be calling for a liberal humanitarian military action and airstrikes on Tel Aviv.

Small comfort if you're Palestinian I guess. I have friends who are (they live here), and they're deeply not ok. Their family holds land in "Israel Proper" and what the news isn't telling you, is that the programs are no longer confined to the West Bank and Gaza. They're attacking any Muslim, or Christian. Some are even going after what they see as the "wrong type" of Jewish person. It's very, very bad.

I think the problem is that the LP is a meta class. Like how the working classes are not a monolithic bloc but include the proletariat, the peseantry, the artisans, the lowest strata of the PB etc, all with their own class relations.

The Lumpens are everyone from a beggar to someone who steals to live to the mafia to an opera singer or artist who relies on bourgeois donations rather than wages. Heck, there's an argument to be made that someone who runs an NGO is a kind of "Lumpenbourgoise"

All of these have the sense that the existence of the strata is dependant on the stability of the capitalist system and instability hurts them, but they have wildly different revolutionary potential

I kept telling people Francis was a moderate, even within the church. To the Jesuits he's arguably a reactionary.

Implying the Palestinians are the descendents of bronze age Canaanites and Phoenicians is not the slam dunk about Israel Biden seems to think it is.

Would have been really nice to do this before sending them a bunch of F16s

You find one marginally less cringe and hope for the best. The day to day work is generally less online.

The other option is to work via non party orgs. Food banks, unions, protest groups, and attempt to inject revolutionary theory into them. This is sometimes hard for more party centric tendencies to cope with though.

This statement is probably risking a rank and file split in CPUSA.

Nominative determinism aside, that's Greek tragedy levels of sad. In a better world they'd not have been warped by chuddery to the point they felt they had to do this.

The really sad thing is, they probably would have been accepted by the community still.

Conservative communities can be vicious if you're an lgbt teen, but are surprisingly accepting when it's a respected member of the community that they'd have to ostracise and the outing is being done by some asshole outsider rag.

EDIT: changed to neutral gender pronouns since we don't know their internal identity.

This is the most horrific seen I've seen in at least 10 minutes, which is coincidentally the last time I saw a live post from Gaza.

I'd rather go over the top at the Somme than try to house clear in Gaza.

Yeah, one of my critiques of LA/PMO conceptions of tech workers having different class interests or being a new class is that...well...their aristocracy isn't. It's extremely conditional and the Bourgoisie has an interest in removing it. It's all false consciousness boosted by a larger paycheck.

On the other hand dismissing the real poverty of the lower ranks of the working classes is also a real problem. Wealthy workers have a responsibility to contribute more to the left, not whine about how they're also poor struggling exploited proletarians
