Golden retrievers: the goodest of boys.

True story, every time I see a golden retriever when driving (by myself), I say "WHAT A GOOD BOY" out loud habitually. Only goldens, and sometimes labs if they look extra behaved.

Maybe that's cringe to some, but I adore these dogs.

We had an HP Inkjet printer for over 5 years, one of the older ones. Ink was expensive, but tbh everything else worked great.

Then we got our new HP Inkjet. Genuinely the worst machine I have ever owned. I can't fucking scan anything without an HP account, and even then it hardly works. I'm going to buy a Brother laser printer soon, as soon as I bring it home that HP printer is going to be smashed to bits in my driveway.

This is good news. I want to use this post to shout out Heroic launcher.

A small team of devs (GitHub says 150 contributors, but likely only a small percentage of that consistently works on it), made a free, open-source launcher that is VASTLY better than Epic's piece of shit.

I mean, for real, this multi-billion dollar company can't even properly make a basic-ass piece of software. For over three years it has been a laggy mess that bombards the bottom right of my screen with ads. No significant changes or updates that have made the launcher more usable. I deadass pirate the games epic has given me for free so I don't have to deal with their launcher.

It's very obvious ragebait, just don't respond, it's what they want.

I used Calyx for months, it's great. Switched to GrapheneOS for some reason, I can't remember, and haven't had any reason to switch.

I actually want to try a LFS install, mostly to gain a deeper understanding of how Linux works. To anyone who's done an LFS install: good idea or waste of time?

Great explanation. The days of the "web 2.0" fantasy dream are officially over, investors needed their money back at a certain point and that point is now.

10 Lemmy up votes = 200 Reddit upvotes in terms of impact on my ego and e-peen

Wow, it's confirmed. Honestly so grateful they had an immediate and painless death. Imagine sitting in complete darkness for 4 days waiting to suffocate.
