I have an air sourced heat pump and it gets to -35C for a few weeks at time here. When it's that cold it does produce heat but your breath is hotter. There's no point in running it as it just doesn't make any kind of useful heat. Below -10C the amount of heat it produces noticeably tapers off.

The big difference being about 5 billion more people on the planet since then and now.

Expeditionary Force is a fun sci-fi saga with great narration and lots of funny bits. If you're not paying attention and miss half a chapter it doesn't really matter too much. Book 7.5 is a full cast epic production with a few well known sci-fi actors.

If you're looking for something that'd you'd get at the pharmacy for $10 then Jack Reacher is pretty fun for the first 10 or so books. I find the most interesting bit being that they're contemporary and basically released annually with the first being released in 1997. You can see the technology change and the world around Jack change. I tapped out after book 20 or so but it was an enjoyable enough experience.

Also comes with NextCloud you can use for CalDAV and CardDav. It also comes with DNS, basic web hosting and ftp but you're limited to 10GB total.

On top of that, proper deep frying requires enough oil mass to maintain the desired heat. Nearly all residential units don't have enough volume capacity to work as intended. Air-fryers though move heated air constantly replacing the need for oil mass.
