Because after a few years they complain again when more changes are made because the current game is so good...

It's probably a single dev that made the decision, then moves onto something else. They (probably?) don't have the ability to just raise a recurring PO etc to easily pay you and don't care enough to worth through the paperwork.

If you had a paid licencing model they may have done it, or just found another lib/ wrote their own.

The main thing to look for with motherboards (other than CPU compatibility) is the ports it has. Number/type of usb ports, ethernet speed etc. that's most likely to be the thing that annoys you if you buy the wrong one.

(PCIE expansion cards can fix most problems there though if needed)

Everyone around me is getting fiber, but I'm on a private/unadopted road, so not for me 😭

For a real answer:

A manager can control what is done under them, but if one of their teams/members needs something done by another team they have no control.

Their manager might control the manager of the other team though, so the decision goes up the line until it hits someone who has both sides of a problem under them and can make the decisions on priorities/cost etc of the requested action.

In small companies, this may just be one or two layers, but in bigger companies it becomes a disfunctional disaster.

Unlikely to succeed I think, even if it was proved, there isn't a process to do something like this? And any other penalty wouldn't help him.

Good to have some more silly drama though 🤣

I disliked how it effectively took over the whole weekend. With 4 sessions to watch you can't really do anything else significant that weekend.

I ended up just skipping Saturdays completely, probably not what they were aiming for....

This is the one that was from previously breached credentials right?

So their only fault was not forcing (did they support?) 2FA. + Potentially not having brute force monitoring?

Mad cow disease can (sometimes/possibly) take decades to have an effect. If you are some infected meat and have the wrong genetics you could wind up with a sponge for a brain 30 years later.

Prions are terrifying.

Have you not seen what the russia-ukraine front line looks like? It's basically a high tech ww1.

Either lost the source code, or didn't have the expertise/time to fix it properly.

Yeh, not sure who they could get that would be an upgrade, Bottas or Albon? Neither are likely to move there I would think?
