My first emotional response is of course, wanting Venezuela to lash out against the US militarily, this is an act of war after all. But after thinking more rationally, maybe the US is doing this to demoralize Venezuelans, because they can't sustain a prolonged war against Venezuela. They would have to support Ukraine, Israel and now a new war. It's just not feasible, so I think they're relying on intimidation tactics to accomplish their goal of regime change.
Also, Maduro being kidnapped after trying to compromise with the US about Venezuelan oil, is a cautionary tale for world leaders who think they can negotiate with the empire. The empire does not negotiate, the empire does not compromise, the empire must take everything they possibly can.
NATO hasn't dissolved. This will be a situation where EU and US will fight and disagree on Greenland, but continue to support the rest of the imperialist project. However, the contradictions are growing, and will eventually become unsustainable.
