Oh no! Poor people will be able to eat the same food as rich people! The tragedy!

If you look at Valve's Glassdoor reviews, you'll quickly realize that the "work wherever you like policy" is a lie. It's just another corporation that has a monopoly on selling games.

The interesting part, is that gamers often argue in favor of Valve's monopoly. This is because it's convenient to have all the games in one place, rather than having to cycle through multiple accounts and stores to play different games. It kind of defeats the liberal argument of competition is always better.

As the title says. This is something that has always confused me, but why was it so easy to dismantle the Soviet Union? The blame is usually put in Gorbachev and Yeltsin, but the Union wasn't governed by just a single man. The whole CPSU was responsible for the government's actions. How was it, that these opportunists managed to get in there and just tear the country apart?

Also, how was it impossible to restore the previous order? So Yeltsin, a liberal sell out, is in power and nothing can be done to remove him and restore socialism? Why were the protests to bring back socialism not enough?

Today 5%, tomorrow 10% and so on, until eventually there is nothing left for the civilian economy.

We're also supposed to believe they can easily crush Russia and China if they wanted.

"Hey can you hurry it up with the genocide? We've got an election coming up, and things aren't looking great for us."

So glad Americans defeated fascism by voting blue.

It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out. The West has been cutting costs in its education system for years, while China has continuously invested billions. Seems pretty obvious who'll come out on top. Cutting China from the West will only lead to Western technology becoming obsolete. I wonder how long until the West is forced to start copying and reverse engineering China's electronics. It'll also be interesting to see how these racist societies will rationalize this.

I'm glad China tackling the American spyware problem. A democratic government can't allow its citizen to be victims of espionage by a racist imperialist state. We can't allow Sleepy Joe to have access to Chinese citizens' personal data.

Awkward? You'll see how quickly Euros will turn on Ukrainians. They'll have the nerve to demand explanations for why these refugees don't want to fight. Euros will then try to enlighten them, as to why Ukrainian refugees throwing themselves at minefields is their duty. When these refugees refuse to do so, anger will follow. They'll be accused of being Russian spies, forcefully conscripted and the ones who can hide will probably have to live clandestinely in slave like conditions.

With news that any Ukrainian can be a double agent for Putin, public support for Ukraine will continue to deteriorate and Ukraine will be left to fend for itself.

What countries do you think would be less likely to disclose your private data? I was thinking of either Switzerland or Belarus. But here's some things to consider:

  • Don't assume that just because countries have bad relations that they won't share private information with each other. For example, in 2021 the Mayor of Lisbon disclosed personal information of Russian immigrants in Portugal with the Russian government. This was an act of incompetence which resulted in a 1.2M€ fine. But the damage was done.
  • Even if there are laws in place, the hosting company might have sloppy procedures in place and disclose your private information.
  • The country should also not be the target of heavy sanctions because you might get in trouble for trying to do business with them.

So which countries do you recommend?

France has also expressed interest, which I find hilarious.
