No, it's worse than that. Putin attended a wedding (in 2018, 5 months post Crimea annexation) of the then foreign minister [link].

They dissolved their government in 2019 after the then leader of the FPÖ told a journalist pretending to be a relative of an oligarch, that she could ensure positive coverage in exchange for government contracts. This might not be a direct link to a foreign enemy, but the corruption runs deep. [Link]

A senior quasi-secret service officer was discovered by the British to have been a spy for at least 7 years before he was apprehended. He was (cheaply) selling state secrets and providing information to the Russians... [link.]

You've got to love them 🇦🇹

How do you feel about the sexualisation of the word "daddy"?

Khan academy got me through the end of high school and engineering. It really made the concepts a lot more understandable than the lecturers.

If it's content is still up to scratch, I hope it's getting the recognition it deserves!

I have a friend like you whom I love to send into the chasm that is his own mind. The physicist has the attitude needed to deal with these thoughts - does it even matter? Ultimately, until we know our existence is false, we might as well keep on appreciating what we experience, right?

This is identical for online brokers in the stock market. They win based on the number of trades, thus they make as much money in bust as in boom years with people exiting positions.

I've also seen it used in usability design, where it is helpful to provide users relatable information (e.g apply equivalent force to the weight of a 1kg bag)

The Tories have literally just stolen conservative Australia's early 2000's immigration policies. Offshore "processing" which never actually happens, hardline "stop the boats!" which in reality is just "ban journalists talking about the boats" and "break down the smuggling gangs" which ends up just being "throw money at a foreign regime to enable our companies to exploit their resources via shitty contracts".

If this had anything to do with bringing order to the asylum process, it would involve providing resources to said process.

I mean if you have air conditioning, then most tips here are irrelevant and the only tip would be "put your air conditioning on".

Almost all areas on or north of the Alps in Europe don't have AC (cos they never needed it) and buildings are made to keep heat in.
