If everything adapt the pc building modular approach we would be in a much better place, some of the replaceable components are already modular if you see the ifixit tear down, it's just that the manufacturer spends more time trying to ruin your chance at properly open it without damage other parts. Same thing for many electronics, the opening part are the worst as you can damage the casing(crack the clips bent stuff, broke the ribbon etc) or some one way bs. Even opening a freaking hair dryer to clean up the internals is a challenge.

the creations are really small if I remember correctly, they are like kilobytes or things put together in a container. (there are maximum objects limits for the creation as well. ) I don't know the max amount of favorite you can keep though, haven't played the ps3 ones for quite a while.

Newer fluid motion thing does work for older and card though. But FSR3 would be better cause it has direct frame buffer information.

So all the GOP politicians just cowards in the face of death threats because 2nd amendment and people can just go assassinate them? Did I read this right as I thought GOP is all about small gov and protect your stuff/property with your guns. Like they don't have the slight courage to call it and fucking say this is a cult and I will defend my family like they defend their gun rights? Is US as a whole tolerate this type of behavior and not hunting down those and jail if they send out death threats while they swatting people from fake internet calls. What a hypocritical country I have to say.

edit: after reading the link entirely, I am glad to say that some people's head is still clear and thinking. But unfortunately the GOP political figures are disgraces of US's founding fathers, more like shit stains of democracy.

IMO, it's hard to claim best game of all time unless it ages well, and not just some unique gimmick the game provided at the time.

Ie, I don't like Tetris but for sure it is one of the best game of all time.

However, if what you mean is good games that somewhat get outshined by others or lacks media attentions, then I agree. There are plenty of other games, and I think people would have bias toward their favorite genre/type.

I didn't mess around with settings etc. Basically anytime I saw the full page detector thing I just close the tab. I do exactly this for any site I visit basically, there are too many other things to do, if they don't want me there I don't have to stay.

I don't understand the recent trend of making cards like 2060 sounds like the lowest you can go for "recommended", and any developer puts even 3070 as recommended suddenly become lazy. No, it is because everyone is starting to move on to PS5/Series X as the "baseline" spec as they are almost 3 years old now and pretty much become the "majority" of the gaming market.(note, PC takes really small amount of the gaming population even when you don't count mobile gaming.)

So if you go check what is consider PS5/Series X equivalent PC parts, it's the 3070/6700XT. People with lower spec machines should be glad that developer even want to put more efforts to accommodate your needs and release a game that supports your hardware in the hope to get some extra bucks if you feel happy about the result.(honestly it really is a pita for dev team ) It is perfectly reasonable to release a product that just can't run on older hardware, the developer is constantly making that decision during and even after game released with patches to address newer hardware being released. (this part I mean newer hardware but at lower performing tier, ie. the [x]060s)

Older gamer has experience the era where games just can't run on CPU anymore and you have to buy extra GPU and extra audio cards to get all the features delivered. It was acceptable then why not claiming developers are lazy because the game can't run on my Pentium 4 with Riva TNT2(I had 256MB ram and the last aureal 3d audio card).

There are other developer making games that also targets older hardware, play those and vote with your wallet. Or, use your 4080 GPU budget to buy PS5/Series X AND whatever latest switch and you can play like 99% of games released and not missing any exclusives. (Yes, you can buy all 3 consoles with the price of 1 super inflated GPU card. )

I know people don't like to create accounts, but Larian seems to be doing fine when I created the vault account(for their prior kickstarter redeem etc.) It doesn't work with launcher and I contact support to then know they have a new system so they can link steam/twitch/gog for their game specific feature(cross save and twitch integration). So if you ever want to do a session in the future using the twitch integration, you would have to register account to be able to link and use that. It lets viewer check character build/inventory and quest logs, so you can have like 3 viewer like your buddy playing together while you control the choice, your buddy can vote for decision making or direct their character's combat choice. At worst you can be the only viewer to your stream and just use it as a 2nd screen to have over view of character build or inventory.

Nay, not going to accept those cookie policy to just read the content. Bad site design.

That era or design is long gone. like even PS2/GameCube have firmware to let you change settings/manage memory cards without game disk. With the variety of hardware you can connect means you need to separate the software layer that talking to hardware's from the game, thus the operating system. You can turn on GBA for example without a cartridge, but it would kinda just stuck. That's like the last boot to game device I am aware of.

as a old timer I feel that it's not that "complex" if you are allowed to experiment without someone looking at you with disappointment. Like there was one time I was trying to figure out how to do double side copying on a machine I never used before, the HR come by and just say you do this print one side and then shuffle the paper into the feeder to print the other side. I tell her that the machine can do double side copying/scanning cause it's similar tray layout I saw in prior company. She let me do my experiment and I figure out how to set the modes and it works as intended. This saved her lots of time having to stick with the machine where she could've just spend sometime to figure out as well. People's pride usually gets in their way of learning.

side note: stick fresh printed paper back into printing machine can easily cause paper jam. That's on top of the risk where you printed with wrong orientation/side if you didn't follow the marking direction properly.

lastly, it's paperless era, please encourage the folks that needs to do the papers to use docusign or something to accomplish the same task. we really don't need to waste all those paper printing information that's only needed for a 30mins meeting. when we can all see it on say, google doc.(or whatever sharing platform. )
