You know what, I kinda take that back.

I feel like it's more androgynous now than it was then though, because it's much more acceptable now for guys to wear make-up.

But like, idk how, 14 years ago or whatever, people saw this and were like "maybe a dude?"

To be clear I mean this as in "people were sexist back then, because it was used as a pejorative, just because her makeup wasn't conventional and she wasn't wearing revealing clothes"
And
"I think this aesthetic fuckin rocks and was way ahead of its time"

Absolutely. Generally with Shonen, protagonists tend to be idiots, which is frustrating.

I've started reading Korean manhwa mostly now, because their protagonists tend to be competent adults.

I've only enjoyed a few romance titles, and they're all older now so I don't know if they still hold up. My fav was Lovely Complex. They actually acted like people their age might act, with a little leeway for comedic overreacting.

Idk if you would consider a Silent Voice to be a romance, but that manga was god tier.

Sounds a lot like twitch raids (except asking permission).

Rather than explicitly asking permission, a community should be able to indicate that they're open to raids or not.
