"Scratch a liberal a fascist bleeds" has to be one of the most ridiculous things ever said.

It's not ridiculous, it's simply historically true. Go ask any European and they'll explain to you how Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco got to power.

They'll also tell you how in all their respective countries, the liberals are currently normalizing the far right in their media to counter the rise of leftist movements.

Edit: oh and also, every liberal government is currently supporting the Palestinian genocide, so that should be a pretty big clue too.

For the USSR, it was a response to the missiles in Turkey. But Cuba wanted those missiles there also as a deterrence to not have a repeat of the bay of pigs invasion.

In that case it was both.

Better outcome is when everyone is homeless and dies from preventable diseases due to unaccessible healthcare, BUT they have a choice of 50 different shampoos.

And the horror is when everyone has a roof, is educated, in good health, but has to munch on the disgusting government provided nutritious food. 😡

Who do you think you are to decide what God wants or doesn't want?

The president of the Philippines is Bongbong Marcos, son of the former dictator Ferdinand Marcos. He was vice president since 2016, and then was elected president in 2022.

Also Duterte was notorious for extra-judicial killing of poor people that may or may not be involved in drug trades/consumption. So another reason to not praise him.

He literally called Cuba "terrorist" just a few days ago, and did the same for Xi a little while before that. He also kept in place all of trump's international sanctions, and even added new ones on top.

He seems to try really hard to be agitative, I don't understand how someone could see him as "appeasement-oriented".
