anti-communist propaganda about Russia
Anti-Communist? Russia has been a capitalist country since 1989, they're not even claiming to be communist.

Just had a bit of a snoop on their profile and yeah... it's just a tankie being mad that people don't agree with them here. I imagine getting out of the Lemmygrad bubble must have been traumatic.
Boring answer, but probably Middle-earth/Arda. Just such a well-crafted world with deep and interesting lore.
Runner up would be Bas-Lag from China Miéville's books. Very unique, somewhat Lovecraftian steampunk world with many weird inhabitants.
I can see what you mean for phones, but are analogue clocks supposed to be a thing of the past now? I have like 3 in my home and know many other people, including young people, who still have them.
I'd argue it does matter. For me as a foreigner it matters, because it's not unlikely Trump will leave NATO. Without NATO, it's not unlikely that Putin decides to try and grab some Baltic states. The order of the world hangs in the balance and if it tips over, it will get much worse than many of us can even imagine. I'm not confident that Biden can fix anything, but I'm fairly sure the outcome for the Western world will be much worse under Trump.
The problem with Tankies is their authoritarianism and their "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" mentality. I could never support a movement that supports horrid dictatorships of any kind. Even as a socialist, I'd always defend a capitalist democracy against a communist dictatorship. If NATO defends a small democratic country against an invasion from its large and powerful neighbor, I'm all for it, even if I'd rather have a European military alliance instead of NATO.
It's also absurd how they defend countries like China, which has perhaps one of the worst forms of capitalism, because they're nominally communist.
What does that have to do with Nintendo using it in their games? That's Irdeto who decided to offer their DRM for Switch developers. As far as I can tell Nintendo is not involved in it, beyond presumably giving their OK.
I guess this means that all the speculations about Mario's voice in Wonder not being Martinet were probably true.
Currently none, I consider myself agnostic. Grew up protestant christian, left the church last year due to not identifying with its beliefs (and to save church tax). I have a casual interest in Buddhism, but don't plan on actually converting.
Always book a hotel (or AirBNB) close to a Yamanote line station. 90% of attractions are along the Yamanote line.
Nakano broadway is worth seeing if you like older anime from the 80s and 90s.
For cheap used retro games, anime goods etc go to Bookoff. The well known stores in Akihabara like Super Potato etc are a bit of a ripoff.
If you want to visit the Ghibli museum, you need to book it at 10AM (Japan time) on the 10th of december. Tickets sell out in less than an hour. Found the museum to be slightly underwhelming though, personally.
I don't agree with it starting the wrong conversation. Something does need to be done about companies denying access to a game you bought and that's the conversation it starts. If this proposal lands on the EU negotiation table, I can guarantee you that the games industry will lobby against it, and heavily. There is no chance the EU will just go "OK sounds good, make it so!". Heck, the chances are higher that if they pass an actual law, it will be so watered down that it won't do anything at all. But then at least we tried.
I've watched his first video, but I really don't agree with many of his points. He only barely acknowledges this being a proposal and then gets lost in the details. He's clearly against any measures that have the slightest potential to be a disadvantage for game developers, which I guess is understandable from his perspective as a developer. But he doesn't seem to particularly care about the consumer's rights, basically saying the problem is solved as soon as the publisher makes it clear at purchase that people are only buying a temporary license. He's also trying to discredit supporters of the initiative by saying they don't know how the industry works, despite quite a few people in the industry supporting the initiative as well.
