The little Polish (formerly German) village my grandma grew up in. She never got to see it again after the war, so I want to make the pilgrimage there in remembrance of her.

The family treasure is also supposedly still buried there, but I don't think the locals would appreciate a random German digging holes in their village so I'll refrain from searching for it...

Only if they already have the correct password.

Reddit not being the entire internet doesn't mean that every bit of information on reddit is also available elsewhere.

I really enjoyed visiting Cimiteiro Monumentale in Milan. A historic cemetery with lots of lavishishly designed huge tombs. Very few tourists there and no scammers whatsoever.

Only recent Apple product I have is an iPad. Android still isn't that great when it comes to tablets and doesn't have many tablet optimized apps. The iPad is nice for drawing using the pencil and Procreate, watching movies and reading the newspaper. I don't use any of the Apple ecosystem stuff like iCloud etc. Some things are mildly infuriating though, like having no real browser choice (hopefully soon to change).

That's fair enough, though I do think there are a ton of interesting medieval topics he still could have covered. I'm the kind of guy who likes watching multi-hour essays on ancient civilizations though, so I might not be "general audience" and he moved pretty much in the opposite direction of what I like to watch. Finding his second channel was what sealed the deal for me though, couldn't take him seriously after that.

I have a Rheinmetall one from around the 30s that only half-works. It spends most of its days in the attic and only gets brought out to show people once in a while. I used it as a prop for a short film once, so I guess that was my favorite use for it.

I fully expect it to be at the very least a janky, mediocre mess. I'm glad if I'm proven wrong, but I don't understand how after everything that happened anyone could have the confidence in the developers to buy this day one.

Well, we know who won in 2016. If we're back to those numbers, or maybe even below those numbers, that seems like a bit of a problem to me.

Not sure what to think of this, but compared to giving the studio to Goro it might have been the better alternative TBH. I just hope NTV doesn't lose sight of what makes Ghibli movies so special.

I have a Garmin Instinct 2S. Works really well for me, it has all the smart watch functions I need and great battery life. It's also quite rugged. The stats are a good motivation to get me out cycling more often.

Countries have different laws and regulations that companies have to adhere to if they want to sell a product or publish a website there.

Additionally, they might have bought the rights to stream a movie in one country, but not others. Offering that movie in other countries would then be a copyright violation.
