Never heard of Democracy Now but don't write off CBC just because they're gov funded. As long as you know their bias I've found CBC to be pretty good in delivering factual news. The thing they engage in most is lying by omission - not covering inconvenient topics.

They have different connotations. The words we use are important. We don't refer to people as "retarded" anymore either for a similar reason.

Clickbait title, no thanks. GTK is alive and doing very well, considering all the major distributions use GNOME or a fork of it.

KDE has major Windows syndrome. No amount of polishing that turd will make me ignore the fundamental user unfriendliness that is nested text drop-downs.

Just get a Kobo and never connect it to the internet. They take epubs just fine.
