Having done exactly 0 research, I going to assume it's one of those "DO NOT PRESS OKAY UNLESS YOU ARE EXPERIENCED AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING" and someone went "pffft I know what I'm doing. click now what does this option do..."

I'm thinking of River Tam, from Firefly.

Whether she can or can't do that is still debatable, but she did tell Jayne she could. And she can read minds, so it's not entirely out of the question...

It was forged by a being that was super old and didn't have any death on the horizon like mortals have, and had cruelty, malice, and a will to dominate all life poured into it ~~by another nearly-immortal being~~. It sat for two and a half thousand years doing diddly squat, passing out of all knowledge.

My point is, it's patient.

What's 500 years when compared with eternity?

Sweet!

I've never been able to get into them, but I'm definitely buying this as a gift for someone.

[-] SARGE@startrek.website 28 points 6 days ago

Damn, I already bought it!

..... 13 years ago....

But I can use this when gifting to people, right? There's a couple people I want to send these as a gift to get them to play it.

If not well then I guess I can't be super passive aggressive in telling them to play it because they don't have an excuse anymore and actually have to use words...

"So wait, I'm confused... Who are the good guys in this universe?"

"That's the neat part! There are none!"

You should come down to transporter room 3, the pattern buffer has something you'd find interesting....
