Earth Defence Force. Basically, you are participating in a B-movie scenario, with UFOs, kaiju, giant ants, flamethrower clams, and winged frogs. It is quite a good time, and the higher difficulties require genuine skill and cooperation.

EDF 6 is the best in the series from a gameplay standpoint, but is far weaker than 4 or 5 when it comes to the level design + narrative. Still, the QOL pushes the game to the next level, especially if you got pals to tackle the missions. There many different weapons, not just in power, but also shot pattern, reload style, knockback, and so forth. Also, there WILL be hundreds of enemies on onscreen at any given moment. Each of the four classes have very distinct characteristics when it comes to loadout, mobility, and purpose, so you should be able to find a good match for yourself.

I was thinking that maybe the US could use three presidents - West, East, and Center, each heading up a major chunk of territory. SCOTUS could be expanded to have 50 justices, each state appointing a single justice to represent them on the supreme court. The presidents each could select a single head justice, whose job is to communicate the viewpoint of the executives, and to write up the conclusions that SCOTUS factions have reached.

That sort of thing should help maintain the intention of the Constitution, where branches - or rather, interests, constantly jockey against each other, thus being equal. The problem with our current politics is that too much power has been concentrated into the hands of too few people, essentially destroying the balance of branches.

Personally, I think a United States that has eliminated the GOP, we would actually be able to reobtain Super Saiyan status among the nations of earth. Our greatest weakness, is that many parts of our governance are dated compared to the institutions of the European Union - we can't elect many good politicians, rife with corruption, a broken social identity where American cannot be defined, abusive corporations and employers, failing education, the failure of the social contract, crumbling infrastructure, ect. For the last 40ish or so years, American has been running on inertia and a big military stick, which masked the erosion of America.

Fix these things, and suddenly the US might become a genuine super power again.

I think the arena that a healthy capitalism excels at, is the creation and distribution of luxuries. Capitalism should solely be used for that aspect in a economic system, but society must provide all necessities by default. This would allow us to benefit from the good parts of capitalism, while preventing it from metastasizing into a cancer.

I think one way to implement UBI, would be what I call a "Universal Ranked Income". Everyone gets universal benefits - shelter, utilities, food, transport, gasoline, healthcare, all of this for free. However, the items and services are very generic. This is where capitalism steps in: money is used for buying luxuries, such as a fast car, physical books, a nicer home, fancy takeout, and so forth. Capitalism is terrific for catering to an individual's tastes, but is horrible at ensuring wellbeing. Thus, the separation of necessity from luxury.

This permits people to strike or protest when they feel like it, since their survival isn't at stake. They also can wait for suitable job opportunities, which would do much to punish abusive corporations. The amount of income a person gets is based on their job rank, with students getting an amount based on their grades, while higher tier workers get fixed incomes each year, regardless of experience or location.

Absolute floors and ceilings on wealth and income can also be implemented. That would prevent the accumulation of too much wealth by individuals and corporations. Corporations won't be able to control the wages of their employees, which would also prevent inflation - people can't be paid too much or too little for working, so pricing of goods will have be done according to what income bracket a seller wants to reach.
