City: Best I can do is require businesses to use paper straws.
15 million in stocks that vest in 3 years plus his 1.4 million in base salary plus plus his 22 million in stock, which has admittedly taken a beating as of late.
So we, as the bottom 90%, are going to see our share of that great economy? Like greedflation is going away, the wage stagnation will break without having having to go on strike, maybe some increased head count in qa across the board, fuck how about head count increases overall instead of operation at bare minimums.
Or... Will we instead see more stock buybacks, stock values go up, and no real changes in our lives. Government projects and social services continues to go under funded because of corporate tax loopholes and those at the top not paying their fair share since "unrealized capital". And maybe some more war since that's profitable. Man I'm pessimistic these days.
Edit: oh sorry I missed the part where she actually said.... Prices won't go down.
They were so busy thinking to NintenDO the mod. Instead they should have been thinking NintenDONT break copyright laws.
"Love and monsters" was a great scary conceptualism about humans living in a post apocalyptic bug world but kept it light and comical. Great intro showing the realism of that world followed by a great comical story line. I've seen other descriptions calling it a better "zombieworld".
Don't forget the plainer, 6ft vices, 14in miter, industrial table saw, ceiling vacuum, 10k sqft working space, chisels, and time.
Oh and the pallet that isn't covered in grime and weathered.
How do you plan to manage a bunch of people that don't respect you?
Next thing you know, there's going to be a new release tier for an extra $5 a month and your standard, hd, no ads plan will be basically what we had with cable tv 15 years ago. Full circle
I disagree... public space is our space. No one's need is greater than anyone else's. The homeless need help, the pubic space that we use to get to the store, play with our children, buff highway noise is not the place to get that. Now, I'm not saying financially penalizing or jailing them are the only alternatives but safe camping/RV spots with access to access social services, Wi-Fi, gather for ac/heater, etc seems like a better approach.
I totally get why you might not but for me, quality underwear has been a great purchase. They last longer, breath better, stay put, and synthetic ones are washable in a sink in a pinch when traveling(I mean they all are but these dry really quick)
From what I understand, the pension is one of the biggest concerns the union has. The method to vote its removal is scummy to say the least. Vote took place on Christmas break, where Boeing gives employees two weeks off with skeleton crew keeping the lights on, knowing no one would be there to vote against its repeal. They've been offered a 401k in return but want their pension back. That info comes from a 15 year employee part of the union but take it with a grain of salt.
Obviously there's a ton of other issues ICs want to be addressed that don't revolve around share prices. This is just one I keep hearing and the feelings of betrayal and resentment are palpable when I hear someone talk about it. They also complain about the union leader who uses his friend lawyer to negotiate against a team of corporate lawyers but that's heresay.
