Arch (EndeavourOS but it's the same with an installer, basically): AUR, great Wiki, great community and fresh packages. I'm always open to new stuff but all of this is really hard to beat.

It looks like a disk error, do you always get this error on all repacks? Check if you have write permissions and enough space.

Oh, I had completely forgotten about this project created with Godot, thanks for suggesting it! (edit) It seems they don't have any flatpaks or similar at the moment, seems way behind Pegasus but also promising.

Bazzite should have wayland by default

I've "solved" using distrobox, it work pretty well and I don't see any lag. Bazzite is a very good distro imho, the problem is more on Firefox here.
