yr right it won't fix everything but yeah i think romantic love is a totally valid thing for many/most people to desire in order to feel whole. i'm also a bit of a hopeless romantic who believes in it being a kind of transcendent experience, or if not transcendent uniquely life affirming in a way that few other things are. making myself sad typing all of that out....lol
