Our presidential election is coming up this fall and we are on the ledge of losing our democracy depending on the outcome. It's kinda on our minds quite a bit.

A cartoon poster of the Swedish Chef from The Muppets assimilated as a Borg from Star Trek. The Swedish Chef has a Borg eye and a robotic double mixer arm. Text on the poster says "SMORGAS' BORG RESISTANCE IS HERDY FLERPTY FLOOPIN'"

Might check into hotel reception too. I worked nights at one, and my main duty was making sure the building didn't catch fire or disappear while waiting to do the audit and start morning coffee before I left.

I should be sleeping, instead I'm reverse image searching and found this on a related pic

The six-member Expedition 61 crew is gathered together inside the Zvezda service module for a New Year's Eve meal

Think if it was a hoax, you'd spend a lil more on your PR team to spread it around with a catchier story.

Far-right influencer Rogan O’Handley went so far as to suggest that if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, Swift and Kelce would trigger an apocalyptic chain of events that would kill millions. “You MUST defeat the Chiefs,” O’Handley wrote in an X post addressed to the San Francisco 49ers. “If you don’t, Mr. Pfizer and his girlfriend are going to tour the country as ‘world champions’ helping elect Joe Biden WW3 will likely follow in a 2nd Biden term and millions will die. The fate of the free world rests upon your shoulders”

Just wow. Only a tidbit of the crazy they are spouting in this article.

"In a battle or emergency, where the survival of the vessel (or other protected asset) is dependent upon the continued operation of the equipment, it is sometimes wiser to risk equipment damage than have the equipment shut down when it is needed. For example, the electrical drives to elevate and traverse the guns of a combat warship may have "battleshort" fuses, which are simply copper bars of the correct size to fit the fuse holders, as failure to return fire in a combat situation is a greater threat to the ship and crew than damaging or overheating the electrical motors."

Huh. Learn something all the time.

We used to just leave a vehicle parked somewhere while we made dinner or did other stuff and let the radio play!

People sometimes would stop by and realize, after a bit of convo, they were hearing something and be baffled as to what the hell we were listening too.
