It’s good to have a choice. But now, in many countries, various social networks are being blocked.

Was reading comments through the RaccoonForLemmy app and your comment looked like this:

After a while, the app froze and closed by itself. However, after I reopened the app everything looked normal.

I think you can just use a firewall. Instead of content from banned sites, an empty field will be displayed.

I have to save written messages to notepad to prevent something like this from happening. And now I've started taking screenshots of comments that are important to me instead of hitting the "Save" button.

"Undetermined"

I don't like it either. I would like the feed to show posts only in my language. I asked my instance admin and he said there was nothing he could do about it.

(It would also be useful to add tags to posts to filter out unwanted content..)

Not all third-party apps have stopped working. For example, the Dawn app from F-droid works well. There is also a Stealth application that does not have the ability to log in to your account.

Unfortunately, most people don't think about such things. They just register in the application where their friends are located, and there is a lot of different content.

Thank you for such a detailed, sincere comment.

For me, Mastodon design is unusual even after several years of using this social network. Plus, there are many apps with different UIs for Lemmy and this is not a discouraging factor for new users.

Then it's strange that the offical developers have no interaction with third party designers. It's hard to believe that none of them offered their options.

It is not difficult to open a link with a picture if the user uses Lemmy through a browser. However, when you use the Lemmy app, it becomes inconvenient to constantly open pictures through the browser.
