So weird... I wonder why they have this whole thing that I had no idea about. I've been using Netflix since they were a DVD rental service and I've been gaming since the days of Wing Commander and King's Quest. You'd think I'd be the target demographic yet it's news to me that it even exists.

EDIT: Oooooh, it's mobile only. I get it now. It's really obvious in the app but I never watch Netflix on my phone. And yeah, it's basically the Amazon app store all over again.

(according to Xbox achievements I’m one of only 6% to bother reaching level 50)

When everyone gets to try it for free via Gamepass, you're going to get very different statistics than when everyone has to shell out the money for the game and fight through the shit gameplay thanks to sunk cost fallacy.

I tried Nobara and really liked it. Some games didn't like my the hybrid graphics on my laptop tho and I ended up swapping to Pop. But I actually like Nobara better than Pop and would be using it if I could.

Weird and useless, but I like that Yamaha is trying new and interesting things.

"Hot Saucerman" is my favorite of the many. Solid reference!

Modding maybe, but that doesn't help console players. An eat button and HDR settings are so hilariously inadequate that I think the people excited for those changes already like the game and don't see the actual issues.

You used to be able to literally brick your build (get to a point where it's impossible to progress any further) in Bethesda games. I'm sure that's changed now, but that paranoia lingers.

This hits all the points pretty succinctly. Nice.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep that in mind! :)

Yeah, I know it's possible, but I'm not a linux expert and I'd rather leave well enough alone. It works and it's not Windows and that's good enough for me!

For me, I've been getting into souls-like games. They scratch a similar itch to MH when it comes to skill-based play. There's a new one coming out in a few days called Remnant 2 that looks to be on the less punishing side. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but worth checking out to see if you haven't heard of it.

Quitting poe was wonderful for my mental state. The game was great when I was learning and discovering. Once it became a treadmill, I should have stopped. Once I realized the devs were purposely nerfing the most fun builds every season, I finally gave up.
