Because it's a souls-like
Seemed to me you called the console version unplayable. You said they didn't work. I was just correcting that statement for anyone who wasn't aware that your were bending the truth to make a point.
The MOBA genre is based off a mod for Warcraft 3 called Defense of the Ancients. DotA, being a mod, had lots of "quirks" (aka bugs) in the game play that kind of just became part of the flavor of the game. LoL was the first standalone MOBA, based off DotA and (iirc) developed by some of the people who worked on the original mod. LoL was designed as a standalone game but it recreated all the quirks of the mod because they were believed to be so important to the game.
Blizzard, when they made HotS, looked at some of the wonky, quirky things and said "This is dumb, let's strip that out and make it simpler." The result is a MOBA that's just as fun but less complex. I really enjoyed it a lot for that reason.
Insightful, thx.
Because there were so many Baby Boomers alive during the Great Depression...
We call this "The Full Asmongold".
If I can play games at full quality without having to buy a $1000 graphics card every couple of years, I can see streaming catching on in my household. That's a pretty big "if" though...
I imagine being in other countries where gaming rigs are a much bigger deal, budget-wise, streaming will hold an even larger appeal. It's probably why the streaming thing is the holdup in Europe but the US regulators don't care.
Is that a DLC? I have never heard of it.
I consider losing all the money and XP you've accumulated since the last save to be extremely punishing. Maybe it's just me, but I can't begin to express how much I hate losing progress. Everything I just did for the last X minutes since the last save was completely undone. Nothing to show for it, no XP, no money, no progress toward my next goal. Just a complete fucking waste of time and X minutes of stress I'll have to repeat. It's like I lost power and corrupted my save file. It's the worst feeling in gaming for me.
Yes, I realize you can get that XP/money back but it adds a level of stress that makes my stomach roil even thinking about it right now. No amount of suggestions on how to think of it differently has changed my perception of it significantly. I dealt with it in Elden Ring for a while but it's probably the main reason I stopped playing that game.
Playing a game with similar mechanics but without the death penalty makes me realize how much more fun Elden Ring would have been without it. IMHO of course. YMMV
Dirt trails terrify me. With only one wheel, it seems easy to lose traction. I know it's not really like that, especially if you get a knobby tire, but it's an irrational fear. After all, the only accident I ever had on an EUC was hitting a gravel patch on pavement and high-siding.
But you should absolutely do it if it's not something that freaks you out. It looks super fun! Just be sure to gear up. Lots more things to hit in the woods.

I've been a fan of thatgamecompany since playing the free Flash version of Flow online and reading Jenova Chen's thesis on how to implement the flow state into gaming.

It's pretty awesome and he's a very unique individual. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.
