The big reasons I'm against this is all the side effects. Yes, there will be more ads, but there will also be:

  1. More autoplaying videos on article websites
  2. Increased risk of malware from ads
  3. Decreased competition in the browser space
  4. Decreased competition in the OS space
  5. More tracking and data harvesting

This is literally 80% of people in my high school and 60% of people at my university though. It's insane how pervasive Apple has become.

90-95% of people at my high school had iPhones, and 85-90% do at my university. 50% of people have AirPods for both cases. And these numbers are only trending upwards. Apple is unstoppable.

The link you provided says that Spotify actually lost ~$170 million. $3 billion is the revenue.

I don't think this will quite happen. People will lose their minds if they need to pay a subscription to use the OS that comes with their newly purchased laptops.

I've already gotten a helmet so far and I'm looking at other gear. What brands and price ranges would you recommend for someone on a budget (I'm paying ~$2000 for my first motorcycle)?

That's why I'm thinking of starting with a used 250! Perfect for around the city and the occasional excursion into the twisties on the way to a day hike.

How are you doing this? Firefox's stock UI is even more oversize than Chrome's and they are actively removing customization options to the UI.

I once needed to write an automation script in Tasker for work.

FX file manager for managing files.

Music speed changer to listen to your music in a different pitch or different speed. Gives you a new perspective on the music you listen to.

Other than that, there's just the basics like F-droid, Firefox+uBlock origin, etc.

Turn the music from my phone speakers to near full blast if not wearing headphones. And maybe dance to it.
