Don't worry, they have options. They can also take out shitty loans laden with fine print from China

I agree. Ukraine did a great job in preparing for an inevitable invasion. Zelensky is the reason the preparations succeeded.

I was buying from ebay because I didn't want to support Amazon. Now what?

I did spend some of my childhood stealing traffic lights and street signs. It wasn't Satan that made me do it, it was the boy scouts.

I cant read past the first paragraph because of paywall. If the author hasn't come to the conclusion that it's because of all the fucking cars they need to reassess.

Walking to places and randomly running into people who can become acquaintances, then friends is difficult or impossible in places with cars as the primary transport.

Meeting in 'third places' is no longer easy because all of those areas are gone or dying due to car based infrastructure.

Town and city public meetung spaces are dying or gone due to car based infrastructure 'needing' those areas for parking.

I'm just some guy who can maybe read minds?

I don't know about the microwave. Heat actually breaks the bond for these kinds of adhesives, so if it isn't poisonous, it probably wouldn't work well for that anyway.

If you add an extra step of bullshit it makes it all squeaky clean. Everyone knows that. Like hydrogen, or electric cars, or biodegradable plastics or or or...

You can definitely have all the gear and not need it. I've set mine up a little at a time to do specific tasks. Some examples:

Alert me if my side gate is unlocked at night, because that is the access to my business.

Check if there is water in the chicken house reservoir, as that means the chickens have dropped a pebble in the valve again.

This article seems extremely biased.

Although making the premise of the article about helping students, this change in rules allows universities to essentially hold students captive as their visa is entirely held at the mercy of the university.

While studying in Australia, many students work, have their families with them and try to live normal lives. They can have jobs that they depend on and kids that depend on them. By tying their visa directly to a specific university, it gives the university the power to charge what they feel like and hold over their visa as collateral.

I had a quick look to see the background of 'the pie', and it is clearly an industry-funded propaganda machine who does nothing but churn out pro-industry articles.

Nearly every single small town was built on a backbone of rail. They could at the very least put back what was stolen.

In my work I've had a lot to do with successful inventors. Many of them have spotty academic background but have experience in technical trades like machining, fabricating or mechanics.

There are extremely smart and capable people who fall into cracks in the school system all the time. For example due to neurodivergence, family issues or poverty.

I would highly recommend books written by Temple Grandin to learn about neurodivergent education.
