Barbie is Mattel, not Hasbro.

No taxation without representation. Either teens get to vote, or they don't pay taxes. Anything less is un-American.

I watched The Batman, and while I'd argue the whole thing was mid, I wouldn't go as far as to say it was garbage. I loved seeing a Batman that focused more on the (admittedly poorly executed) detective work. We almost never got that from other Batman films.

I apologize, but I'm struggling to catch your meaning.

I mostly agree with you, with the caveat that industrial meat and dairy is not sustainable. Communal farms could be.

I saw it somewhere, and now I use it all the time. If you need an example of why capitalism is destined to fail, just look at the cheese caves. We have to bury cheese like nuclear waste just to be able to keep its market value up to a level that makes it worth producing.

I've never been closer to vegan than I am now. And I love meat and animal products and have long given up on the illusion of any ethical consumption in capitalism. It just turns out meat is way overpriced and you can make some tasty meals for cheap without meat and most animal products.

I have to agree with the plotless aspect. I will, however, defend it solely for its special effects. I think modern films should strive for the standard that movie set in my mind.

Almost our entire economy in the US is built around spending money you don't have. You can't finance a car, sign a lease, or buy a house without having extensive history of buying things with money you don't have. On top of all of that, we continually lean further and further away from actually owning anything and instead either renting or borrowing every necessity and commodity available. At that point, why bother spending money you do own on things you don't get to keep? Especially when you continually watch people who have significantly more money than you racking up debt and then getting it forgiven just for shiggles.

Every month there's a new "unprecedented" event. Wild fires, shootings, repeated attempts to strip our rights, opioid epidemic. There's a miriad of reasons to feel like long-term investments are an exercise in futility.

Also, when an especially bad flu season can financially ruin you due to Healthcare costs, why fucking bother?

Worth mentioning that using isopropyl and eating it are almost mutually exclusive. Use everclear if you wanna safely ingest. Always research extensively when flammables are involved.
