I don't think seniority and ageism are the same thing, but a lot of proponents and opponents will take it that way. I think it's really about how positions of leadership are parceled out based on time served.

The reporting on how he came to be arrested is quite a bit different from what's all over social media. From what I've read, it wasn't until the cops showed up that anyone even knew who it was. It seems like he was acting strange after several days on the run and nights without much sleep. A concerned customer asked an employee to call the cops.

I don't know how accurate this story is, but I have no idea where the social media narrative came from, except that it was half written before he was ever captured. I think the anger at McDonalds and the employee involved is misplaced, and I hope it doesn't have serious consequences.

Respect the norms!

None of his current convictions are expected to come with a custodial sentence

Strict adherence to sentencing guidelines actually would see him jailed on his current convictions. If he isn't given some kind of imprisonment it will be because the judge was afraid of the aftermath.

The most honest and useful measure is median net worth bracketed by age, and that's exactly what the article uses. It's not twisting anything.

He's gone way too far down Trump's asshole for him to ever fool the left again.

This is why.

It's not just Bill Clinton though. Many of the rich and powerful are vulnerable to the Epstein story, including Bill Gates.

She did do some campaigning early in those states. It turned out that the more they saw of her, the less they liked her. Her campaign kept her out of those states because she was a liability to her own campaign. Trump ran on fighting for average Americans. (Bullshit of course). Hillary ran on scolding the candidate offering change.

But she was right about everything!

The part that really hurts is that it seems like the Democrats are setting themselves up to do it again.

It's amazing that the vast majority of progressives always come around and vote for the lesser evil, yet we have to listen to this ranting every single time.

You are right that they should be pushing the Democratic establishment to do better, but there is a reason they don't. They know that progressives are willing to make compromises, but the establishment is not.

Biden would choose Trump over a progressive candidate. We know this because he did. When the Democrats moved the first primary to South Carolina from New Hampshire, they probably threw away the NH electoral votes, and they know they will never win SC. They would rather Trump win than face another progressive challenger.

They elected a billionaire because he attacked other billionaires. He voices their rage at the "elitists" in Washington, and he pretends to be one of them.

Actual antisemitism is still a thing, and pretty common with the kind of people that would commit this kind of crime. It's a real shame that the term has been made almost useless by applying it to anyone with a principled stance against genocide.
