Was out of town last weekend so didn't meal prep. Exercised every sat-monday but didn't get back til late Monday night so it threw off the lifting routine.

Have two days done though, and will finish it tomorrow and sat. Could be worse!

Burrito/taco filling!

Big batch of tofu scramble/beans/plant protein, which various chopped veggies and greens mixed in. Then I usually make some sort of potatoes/rice throught the week to add some carbs/body and switch up the vibes a bit.

It can taste pretty different throughout the week depending on which hot sauce/salsa I use any particular day.

I'm trying to steam more veggies as well to munch on the side.

Nice. After work workout is great to build routine.

Maybe its no problem for you, but the biggest thing that messed up my routine is when I forgot/"forgot" to bring gym clothes.

Great info, really boring writing, super unappealing/uninspiring references, especially for people like us lol.

"Kevin is an entrepreneur from Boulder. He's been biting his nails since he was a baby in diapers. His wife booked him a manicure appointment. He still a huge baby, but he feels so confident about his nails he doesn't bite them anymore!"

I actually never finished the second half, any good info in there?

What the hell are you even talking about? What are the bands that you like that used to tour and only play festivals now?

Covid fucked everything up.

You can absolutely use positive reinforcement to bribe yourself into doing something.

If something feels abstract, it's because you haven't broken it down into small enough steps, and/or you haven't identified properly what that concept actually means in practice.

Practice the Major System weekly/monthly until memorized. Ok what does that look like? What does that entail?

I'm not sure what that is but you have three memorization tasks. You don't have to think about them all separately. You can think about it like this.

Ok I want to be a memorizer. I'll do that by practicing weekly. Practicing weekly means practicing twice a week. Practicing twice a week means once on Monday and once on Thursday. I will practice those days after dinner After dinner means, as soon as I eat dinner, I will put away my dishes, and immediately start practicing. I will practice for 20 minutes each day.

Things to consider to set yourself up for success. Have a space where you always practice. Set up the things you need to practice before you eat dinner, or while it's cooking. So that could look like: If I am cooking dinner, before its cooking I will identify a time before I start where I'll have a few minutes to set up my space. Examples: While the water is boiling Right after the food goes in the oven Or whatever. If you can't think of a time, do it between the prep work and before anything hot happens.

If youre just reheating something. While I wait for this to heat up, I will set up my practice space. If youre ordering food. Right after I order food I'll set up my practice space.

You get the picture right? What does setting up the practice space entail? Idk. Clear it. Set out your book. Or go to the website idk, but you do.

Then once you memorize one thing you just adjust that routine to the next memorization task as needed.

If you haven't played it on PC slay the spire is my goat. I couldn't tell you another game I've 100%'d. I think ive put in like 200 hours.

Someone mentioned desert golfing here a few years back. I still play it now. It's so minimal. No settings. No music. Just get the ball in the hole. You can play it for 30 seconds or 30 minutes.

Everyone does it differently bit I'm a bit more selective about games I play on my phone. I've done some roms/emulators but I'd rather just play those on my computer. I only like games that I can go into or drop at a moments notice.

Sounds like my dog. She's big, smart, sassy, sensitive, suspicious, playful, dominant and very clever. Quite a handful. 3 years old and 75lbs now. I love her.

Some unsolicited advice, whatever you're doing for training, is probably pretty good, if you're having trouble you just need to do it more consistently. It's better to do less things more consistently ,than more things only occasionally. And whatever your partners doing, it's probably pretty good too, but yall need to be on the exact same page. Seriously. Some dogs are easy, some dogs look for any gaps.

"Well one parent ignored me so it didn't feel good to do that thing but other parent gave me attention when I did it so guess I'm doing it again LOL!!"-Rena, probably.

Note the behaivors you don't like. Note their triggers/cues, and plan to have the same reaction/(or often times all you need to do is just not react), to the behaivor. Be exact. Don't give in. If she's anything like my dog she's just trying to party, and sorry big girl it can't always be a party.

I have some examples below but my advice comes from a more generalized approach on habits/decision making. What's the point of doing a 30 day super diet if you're miserable the whole time and afterwards you either quickly/gradually fall back into the actions that got you there in the first place.

Make choices and plans when you feel strong/motivated, then set yourself up as best as possible to limit your power/desires to make good decisions when you're less strong/motivated.

Recognize your habits and how you might have "failed" in previous attempts.

Dont buy foods you know youll overeat. Try to only grocery shop when you feel strong/empowered/full.

Try to plan your meal choices ahead of time, and have a backup plan or 2 that might be worse than plan A but better than winging it. Ex: you have to go to work, and there's a fast food spot near that you eat at way too much.

Plan A: bring lunch daily Plan B: have some frozen stuff you can microwave if you forget/don't prepare a lunch Plan C: have a protein bar or some highcalorie snack that'll hold you over Plan D: know of a couple healthier options for takeout, and commit to them before you get hungry.

If you keep failing a plan A, figure out why. You keep running out of time in the morning? Meal prep. You hate the lunch you bring to work? Make something else that might not be as healthy, but it's better still than plans B-D.

It's ok if you mess up. It's okay if you make compromises, but try to make the compromises when you feel strong not in the moment.

You don't need to be perfect to lose weight, you just need to consistently eat less/healthier over time.

Also unless its a nutritious shake/smoothie, dont drink calories. Lmao that's a big one. For a lot of people just getting that number down is enough to make a significant different.

If you have any particularly bad/ingrained habits it's okay to ween yourself off them. You don't need to go from 10 cokes a day to zero, go to 5 first. Or instead of coke, maybe you can switch to coke zero for a month or two first, then switch to flavored water for a couple months then plainwater. Or whatever.

Great! I cant reccomend it enough. A lot more content is already prepared for the steam early access release in a few weeks so that would be as good as any time to give it a shot.

I've played and enjoyed a lot of similarish games but for me personally they were ultimately either too long or too shallow for any sustained replayability. It doesn't play like slay the spire but to me it's right up there with it in terms of being completely satisfied with the 45-80 min playthrough one day while still wanting to come back to try it again the next.
