They went with their instincts and tried to frame a guy who just happened to actually be guilty, and it backfired on them.

Yep, and now you know why all the tech companies suddenly became VERY politically active. This future isn't compatible with democracy. Once these companies no longer provide employment their benefit to society becomes a big fat question mark.

I think just about everyone (including me and a lot if the people I grew up with) who was in Seattle in the 90s had met him and had similar experiences. Just generally shitty behavior and rudeness, often directed at children because he doesn't really like kids in particular.
