"Price of waging war..."

Indiscriminate bombardment of civilians is not "war" Joe, it's fucking terrorism and genocide.

"But I have no confidence in the number that the Palestinians are using,”

Of course! Indiscriminately shelling a densely populated civilian population for weeks surely couldn't add up to such numbers! Let's just split the difference and call it two or three.

Yes, Hamas is a terrorist organization, but Israel is a terrorist state. Civilians are caught in the middle because we allow the terror to continue.

Do NOT apologize for mass murder and coordinated, deliberate terror.

TL;DR; Illegitimate court makes illegitimate rulings on illegitimate cases. How does this happen? Rampant, widespread, bald-faced corruption.

Everyone: "Games are getting WAY too expensive."

Out of touch executive: "Games are too cheap! Why are our sales going down? I promised the shareholders infinite growth!"

This is California. 60% of the population will readily support this. The other 40% think that murder is one of their Constitutional freedoms. Thankfully, they are the minority and can continue to move themselves to Florida, Tennessee, Texas and other minor 'murican ethnostate dictatorships. The rest of us rational freedom-loving Californians bid them adieu.

Rightists: "Socialism is when the poors get any manner of social benefit."

Never mind that the poors are the primary source of the funds for said benefit. We live in a system where the rich control a system that allows them to plunder from the poor and funnel those funds to themselves.

Capitalism is theft, and theft is capitalism. Capitalism is good.

But pooling our collective resources for the general benefit of all us... that's bad. That's socialism.

How DARE the plebes be allowed to spend their money on themselves when some multimillionaires that destroyed their billion dollar businesses need a bigger yacht and a fourth European vacation home!?

Makes good business sense

I would never call such horrifically predatory tactics “good business sense.” It’s abuse of market position and should draw the ire of antitrust regulators, as well as make their product a major business risk for any new projects.

Let’s not forget that Unity recently merged with a malware company, so borderline-illegal predation is their entire business strategy.

We need a 95% tax bracket for anyone that makes more than a few million/year.

They are not being bought by regular people like you - they are being bought by investment companies, hedge funds, and filthy rich investors... all for the the sole purpose of turning them into rentals.

By turning them into rentals, they keep supply low which increases prices... which prevents people from buying, keeping rental demand high, which also lets them charge exorbitant rental rates. They are gaming both sides of the system to ensure that us peasants can be milked dry over a fundamental human need.

They reacquired a significant amount of critical Marvel IP, they completed ownership of Star Wars (the first film was owned by Fox), they acquired a huge portfolio of lucrative IP (one of things you are complaining about), but most importantly they acquired Star… a huge media presence outside the US, especially in Asia.

Also, don’t forget that the merger only completed in 2019, right before a particular major global event that we only just started coming out of… and which continues to impact the film industry in particular in some very wild ways.
