And honestly it might be the third-worlder-accustomed-to-things-being-uttter-bullshit in me. But I think "Winning back the country" is an unrealistic and foolhardy goal. Everyone who is on the radar for being harmed by Trump should look out for themselves and their own. Which includes "getting the fuck out of the country" if that is what it takes.
Additionally: A significant portion of the country won today. They got exactly what they wanted. And pretending that this neofascism is some kind of external infection is tantamount to covering one's own ears.

But the radicalisation of the Americans began before 2016. Trump is a symptom, not a cause. The disease started spreading as early as 2008. The recession, the damp squib that was the Occupy Wall Street event was the inception of many political movements, both far left AND far right.
That's the thing people don't realise. Even if Donald J. Trump didn't exist, the underlying social tensions mean that inevitably someone would show up to galvanise far right sentiments, and the political estabilishment would have boosted them, whoever they were, because when the common folk are getting angry about their lot, then to the people actually in charge, a fascist dictatorship is preferrable to the alternative.

Bro. This law literally bans the usage of VPNs to access foreign sites and services. Even China won't fuck with that, and they invented the concept of having a separate internet that abides by their censorship. VPNs are legal and common there. Also, like, this thing we are using? The Fediverse? Where half the servers are not in the US of A? Say goodbye to IT as well.
