Same here, but it also depends per country since well average life spans, average age to buy a house, average age to start a family etc all have an impact on when a new generation starts.

But if a CEO does something that actually destroys the company (without question) the governance structure that most companies in most countries have will put a halt to it. If the company is of size to have an actual CEO than they will have a need for a governance structure.

The sad part is that due to whatever reason it doesn't always work like that.

Heck somebody once told me that in the US you can just fire people for whatever, which is insane to me

Civilisation is a good thing yes also having access to clean and drinkable water is a good thing, but we don't need to flush our toilets with drink water, we don't need to shower with drink water, we don't need to water our plants with drink water or wash our cars with drink water.

I drink a lot of water per day and I hate it when I am in a country where I can't, but buying jugs of 8 litter water to drink isn't the worst thing either.

And since when are we obsessed about something when we talking about hypotheticals? Cause that is what this all was, heck I didn't even start about cars, that other person did ...

If you work in the public sector you often don't have shareholders breathing down your neck for more profit (but it can happen). And yes smaller companies can have bullshit bosses as well, especially when they are the type that either already had decently sized companies or just wants to be the next millionaire.

It's nearly impossible to keep wasps and flies out of your store.

. The US has been screwing around with a women’s rights amendment to our Constitution for over 100 years and we still can’t get that done To be fair to the US the 50 states basically act like they are different countries instead of different states.

never spend a cent you don’t have to This is a pretty common ethos in The Netherlands among other countries, but there is a rising trend in purchasing power and people (with or without a rise in purchasing power) are making more informed decisions and realise that often the mom and pop store option is cheaper in the long run. Heck we had a store (the Jumbo) which used to not have discounts, but saw less people buying from them that they changed it so now they are offering discounts again.

I see it a lot in the retro gaming community. In NL, a country the is 240 times smaller than the US, we have a lot more options to buy our games from. Heck I can find American limited releases easier in The Netherlands than in the US.

At least in The Netherlands we have issues finding new employees in different businesses. It’s going down a bit, but we have 101 open positions for every 100 people without work. https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/visualisaties/dashboard-arbeidsmarkt

We have about 2% unemployed people compared to the entire Dutch population, but in some fields like healthcare, accountants, restaurants/cafe’s, etc. It is really hard to find people. It’s so bad that they are gonna make it easier to get your title for accountants.

Would you think the same in another country? In Canada? Or in The Netherlands?

Statement, arguments, points of views. Whatever you want to call it, it was in his program.

But just disregard it, him being an opposition player is a good enough reason why he failed

Generally yes, but often you see that they still end up with the same or more revenue. So less people came, but they spend more.

or the traffic just stayed the same and more people came. It depends a bit on the size of the restaurant and in what price category they are and what they increased.

The extreme right hasn't been able to do much in NL besides postponing getting anything done. Like I said it is slow af to get anything done in NL due to our structure, but at least the extreme right (or extreme left for the matter) will have less option to pass any actual laws.

Yes, we have issues with housing, the tax system and maybe even schooling. The housing thing is mostly because of bureaucracy and because of environment reasons, we haven't been able to comply with the EU regulations surround the environmental values. The tax system just fucks over a lot of people, either because the system is to complex for people or because it is just badly written. And the whole school thing is partially resolved and partially an issue because people didn't read that the loan was only 0% interest for the next few years and because people didn't know what their options are. Again it is a complex system and some people don't really understand it, but don't seek help either or they don't get the correct help.

There have been talks about making it easier to get the bureaucracy done for building more houses, which hopefully passes. The entire tax system will not be redone anytime soon, so people can still have issues with that, but we will wait and see for that.

Compared to most nations, yes the Dutch government is crap at the time of writing, but that is partially because we do not have a government. The previous Schoof government was also a shit show, but that's because WIlders can just play opposition and besides his extreme right statements he mostly has left leaning once so he contradicts himself half the time. He is also a one man party which doesn't help. The BBB is just a one statement party and the NSC just fell apart almost instantly, at least Omtzigt tried I gues. He was like the only person that we could vote for last time that understood how the issues with our tax system are making everything worse.

Productivity is irrelevant if you sell hours, if a notary works 1 hour they invoice 1 hour most of the time f.e.

The bigger companies and a lot of companies like tech companies will have the margin to increases prices without it hurting their bottom line. But what about the local restaurant around the corner? Or the mom and pop electronic store with a couple people working there. I don't have an answer to that to be fair.
