He tried so hard.
This person seems to have invaded your privacy, but the snippets of their comments make it seem like they were (at least originally) well intentioned and trying to find information about your husband and legal situation. They told you how easily they found information on you and exactly how they did it—this furthers my point that you can avoid this type of thing by modifying your own posting habits.
In my opinion, from the limited evidence in this screenshot, the other person needs a warning and you need a crash course in basic online safety.
Again, just to be clear, anybody who doxxes or stalks someone is in the wrong and should be held accountable. Likewise, we should all be accountable for our safety and privacy online also.
Do you like it here? Do you want it to succeed? Do you realize that instance servers and rust developers cost money? Those are the reasons why.
Either we help this place thrive now, or we’ll be watching assholes like Threads dominate the Fediverse. We can all be part of the solution, or we can be apathetic and continue to complain about the corporate internet while doing absolutely nothing about it.
I have never regretted a donation to a FOSS project.
Real women use VPN’s. /s
I was worried too. Thanks for asking the scary question.
That was my impression too. Plus, he didn’t really die of an overdose per se, he choked on his own vomit from the pizza rolls. The same thing could happen with alcohol, Ambien, or even heavy sleeping.
It’s a tragedy for sure, but I’m not sure that this particular case is rock solid evidence that the product needs to be taken off the shelves. It would be a good idea to get this stuff regulated for quality though.
As it so happens, yes. My family has been politically active as Texas progressives for almost 100 years now, and I’m part of that chain. I’ve been at the protests, made the phone calls, signed the petitions, and donated the money I can spare. Furthermore, I have a lot of friends who have been doing the same.
We aren’t all complacent down here. Our state has been heavily gerrymandered to the point that we need a lot more than a simple majority to win an election. We’re doing everything we can, but anyone looking at the Republican Party right now can see that it is a huge and dangerous organization. They use smoke and mirrors to make their control in this state seem a lot more absolute than it actually is.
Edit: I also wanted to add that when you call your Texas representatives, they don’t answer the phone. Shame doesn’t sway these people, which is why our best hope is changing demographics and getting out the vote.
Classic cars are about to be huge.
The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be…unnatural.
Honestly, maybe this is an effective strategy. Rather than continue to try to convince them to care about others, we just have to convince them that they are in danger themselves. Republicans discovered that fear motivates boomers better than avocado motivates millennials, so it’s time to start using the tools we have available to drive the point home.
And then we can finally get our hands on all that sweet avocado and toast…
TIL, lol. Honestly, now I’m just thinking about chipmunk strippers.
That is the length of an average successful marriage, yes.
