I wonder whether this money will be held in French banks. Seeing as China has made it policy to not have any funds linger in Western banks longer than absolutely necessary.

Sure, but will they stay there? If they do, I hope he can life his remaining life with his family in relative peace.

So, anyone want to place bets on where they're going? Russia? China? Back home?

"Conflict leads to better story writing" for the people that have never heard about introspection.

They'll likely scrap it for parts and reassign people to whatever new anti-China media channels they come up with.

It's very telling that this got dropped after Trump's case.

Unless it's done by Tibetan fundamentalists, I guess?

Such news is only leaked because it creates public sentiment for more public spending towards war. All of you are revelling in the "Haha, those krauts guns don't work" and miss the bigger picture as to why this is reported in a major publication.

credit-card delinquency rates

I keep forgetting that not paying one's debt is viewed as a crime in the USA regardless of the reason as to why you can't pay.

Most of these countries pretend that they were the ones that helped the South Africans fight against apartheid from behind the scenes. These same countries also adhere to the opinion that Israel isn't an apartheid state. So are we really surprised that they defend the genocide that is going on?

"Always". First proper mass-scale photovoltaic factories were from the 1980s onwards, and both the relative cost and efficiency has been at a stand still ever since the Reagan era up till the 2010s. Saying China has "always" been the main producer is a gross innacuracy and does a lot to overlook the West's unwillingness to take on the same responsibilities. Renewable energy has always been a grift to the West, just look at how the market collapsed after 2008 due to the solar panels becoming "too cheap" and government cronies no longer getting that government subsidy money, and instead of making less profit just decided to close the factories.

Wish I could use this technology for myself to listen to non-fiction books. Even if it costs $10 I'd still feel it'd be worth it.

Posted into the wrong Lemmy community. Might need to delete+repost.

I seriously don't get it. Why do they try and get people from China-related subreddits/communities to join them if they're going to ban them once they're too vocal? Do they just want to spread a wide net and catch whichever stragglers so they can promote their own form of socialism?

Or are these people actively creating these communities and banning anyone who's even half-serious about socialism as to impede the organization of grassroots movements?
