What if you do not trust grandma to be your children's primary caregiver? This is part of the reason I chose to not have kids. I knew I could not afford childcare. My mother would happily do it for free, but she is batshit crazy and unpredictable. I would not want her to have unsupervised access to my hypothetical children for 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week.

Over ten years ago as a student, I sold tickets for plays and concerts at the University of Montana and got some comp tickets to a play that she was in. She's very talented and I'm glad to see that she won!

My mother had to have pelvic floor surgery after having three kids. Prior to that, she had to get her gallbladder removed shortly after my brother's birth. Pregnancy is extremely unappealing to me, and I don't think the long term effects of it are talked about enough.
