If Hitler himself walked up to me and said "Here's eleven million dollars for your Youtube channel," I would take it.

With the noble bonobo as a figurehead, I've built a community in the spirit of socialism, sharing, and empathy. The bonobo, like socialism, is endangered because of greed and capitalism.

But this isn't (just) about bonobos.

Everyday Socialism is all about community ownership, sharing and cooperation. It's about meeting everyone's needs, sustainability before growth. It's about promoting employee-owned businesses, public property, and the many projects built on socialist ideals.

Posts can be about wins for socialist groups and parties, articles about organizations that benefit the people, how to make and manage community assets, cooperative structures, or how to build a free library. You could even post about personal projects and victories, or ask for advice.

I intend for this to be a positve space, and despite the socialism, stay relatively free of heated political discussions. Strong opinions will inevitably come up, and I support them as long as communication stays respectful.

This is more about recognizing how socialist principles affect our daily lives.

Clueless bastard. Geneva_convenience skirts the line between troll and unhinged, they're not even Marxist/Leninist, just contrarian.

Social media for the antisocial.

No tears from peers, a place to leer without fear (No corporate ears.)

Link aggregation without the agitation.

Look at stuff. Do things. No ads.

These are more like taglines.

I spent all my money trying to get a camel through the eye of a needle.

Nope. Deer are vegan dogs.

I tried piefed a while ago, liked the tags, but think they should be mandatory. I'm just not a big fan of the sign-up wizard, multi-coms or general vibe. Would still be cool if Lemmy had tags.

If it's anything like the deer where I live they fucking had it coming. Bastards kept trying to steal my pumpkins on Hallowe'en and they break my compost bin trying to get at the delicious banana peels. Oh. and I chased one around for half an hour because it got a tomato cage stuck around it's neck like a fashion accessory — and I wanted my goddamn tomato cage back.

Couldn't someone just browse by subscribed if they want to curate their feed?

But I agree that, if communities could tag themselves by subject/category, there could be options to subscribe or block tags for people who like to browse the All feed.
