Let this be a lesson to you then. Checking the logs should be your first troubleshooting step, not installing a variety of distros until one "just works". Good luck.

Opposite. I wear wool socks. Sometimes my socks are sopping wet, but my feet feel dry.

Pancake mix in particular benefits from the large scales at which the pre-mixed stuff is made. Measuring out those smaller proportions of dry powders precisely and accurately is much more difficult at home even if you opt for using a scale instead of measuring cups. Just read the ingredients list to avoid the brands that may include the extra binders and other ingredients you want to avoid.

I'm not biased and I'm not picking a side, but there is a lot of whataboutism is this thread and I stand by my stance that it is a weak argument and a logical fallacy.

It was very different that the other versions and I appreciated it for that. It felt like a Lovecraftian tale with a touch more humanity than standard. The Hellboy wit from the other movies is still there, but it's bone dry in its delivery and I think that worked to the advantage of the tone of this one. It wasn't Hellboy out saving the whole world. But those lower stakes got more personal. This reviewer just seems put off that this movie didn't meet their own expectations for it. The reviewer wanted another boring shocky big budget adventure/action/super hero movie. Instead, they got a spooky slow burn folk horror with an indie feel. I guess that offended them maybe. I think they're just rage baiting click throughs for the ad revenue.

Like these straps and anchors when they rip out of the loose water logged soil.

Ok, the title comes from the linked article, but they aren't banned from "mentioning anatomy". They are banned from showing pictures of reproductive organs.

How is that any better? Next your going to rationalize having no books in a literature class, showing no pictures of cells in a biology class, or having a trigonometry class without using the devil's radians.

I don't know why some people seem compelled to ignore all context and rationalize state sponored religious persecution in the name of "protecting the children". It's not post-truth just because you've decided to willfully ignore all the context.

Thanks for this post! I read The Three Musketeers ages ago while in middle school (pre-teenage). I'm sure I didn't get get much more out of it than sword fights and adventure at the time. I'd always meant to go back and read more Dumas. This post (and the comments about Dracula, another book I read first in middle school and enjoyed even more when I read it again last year for Halloween) has encouraged me to add to the top spot in my "to read" list.

He got a speeding ticket in a poorly designed street with variable speed limits that is only designed to funnel people to and from the stadium and the interstate that just so happens to cut something like a nine lane street through a low income and predominantly black neighborhood and school zones. And the only reason he wasn't shot dead was because he was driving a very expensive car and the cop likely identified him as a semi-celebrity right away. This whole thing is like a case study in all the various forms of institutional racism. Tyreek Hill might be an unredeemable asshole, but that's FAR from the whole story.

They generally don't breed in large bodies of water where the water is flowing. They moatly breed in the little stagnant pools of water that collect in other spots because of poor drainage or things like tires, empty pots, and other trash being left out in the rain. There exist these little pellets that poison those stagnant puddles for the mosquito, but not your pets. That and proper drainage around your house will do wonders to reduce the excess population. Pointing a fan to blow out at any open window can help too, but proper screens (with a fine enough mesh) would help more. Mosquitoes don't like a stiff breeze.

Sounds like an interesting premise for a musical.
