Is the American FDA perfect? Of course not. but them existing is a net positive because without them your food would have literally no safety standards in the US. Even if theyre corrupt and incompetent they can still be a net positive when compared to just letting companies put cat piss in your koolaid if they want to.
When it comes to like actual drone shit its entirely seperate from this manufactured consent stuff so not worth thinking about the whys of what the drones did, but as for new jersey it was really just the entire megacity that spans from NYC to DC that people focused on. It has a lot of people so it had lots of sightings. The sightings happened elsewhere too during the same time. Just didnt get attention as much.
And as for like why the drones were up there the sightings pretty much exactly coincided with the earth passing thru the Gemenid Meteors. Going from mid november to late december and peaking around december 13th. My guess is these drones were just up there as an easy way for them to monitor the meteor showers and get some scientific data on a potentially dangerous meteor cluster we pass thru regularly. Plus it would be the perfect time to test the drones out if as i suspect they are designed to track incoming ballistic weaponry, and/or enemy satellites. A drone swarm would be a great way to have active tracking on every object in the sky/space above a combat zone. And it would be cheap and hard to take out the entire swarm too.
So TLDR: Drones arent China but US tech. Probably tracking Gemenid meteors. Why jersey? Lots of people live in the northeast and so it got lots of attention there. Observation bias.
Good thing the state voted to keep their prison slaves so they can force those non-violent offenders to run straight into the flames with water balloons.
And the Holy Roman Emperor will be.... DOLLY PARTON!!
giving it to poland is basically giving the US free reign to fill it with military bases tho
Do u guys not remember when Obama killed Osama Bin Laden and ended terrorism?
Cant wait to buy a used X Elite Thinkpad in 3 years once all the linux support is done and theyre cheap lol
Hey funny seeing u on lemmy i recognize u from matrix lol
Because christians literally forcibly converted everyone they could, and killed anyone who refused. Also it didnt die completely. Most people just worshipped in secret, and in some more rural areas it survived. Aswell as mixing with the christians culture and influencing them. Like Santa Claus is just Odin. A lot of Jesus's associations came from Apollo because Apollo was super popular in the roman empire and had lots of temples and when the romans converted them to churches a lot of the preists were like ok well im a preist of apollo thats what i know how to do so ill just keep doing what i always did but say jesus now instead. Laurel wreath on head, frankincense, etc. All Apollo things.
Most holidays trace their roots back pre-christian too. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, all can be traced back to old pagan traditions.
A big part of like christianity in general is converting others. Not all religions are like that most arent actually not even all christian sects are. Its why it spread so far cuz people who follow it actively try to spread it. Even today religious christian groups travel around the world trying to convert people. In areas they colonized they did the same, convert, or die tactics.
His son in law has said this exact thing before so its probably his influence.
Honestly Linux does work pretty much just as well as MacOS if you run it on hardware thats super well supported and that tons of linux users use. MacOS has integration with its hardware because its all made by the same company. They only have to support a few models of computer.
If you installed Linux Mint today on a Thinkpad t480, and on some obscure weird laptop with rarely used hardware your gonna get 1 install that just works out of the box and your gonna get 1 that you have to hunt for drivers, and do tons of work on. Its just the nature of being able to use any hardware. Some will work better than others.
If you want an example of how to increase adoption you pick a line of computers thats of high quality and have them be supported by the community a ton. Then you convince the company that makes these computers to ship a version of them with linux pre-installed, and potentially help atleast with funding the development of whatever distro they use.
If your average user bought a laptop, opened it, turned it on, and it had linux on it and worked relatively well, they are never going to change it. Its not a normal thing to just change your OS most people don't even know that you can do that. I gave my grandmother a linux mint laptop and she thinks its windows.
Wow. If what this article says is true EVERYONE reading this needs to take precautions. Have proper N-95 masks, hand sanitizers, stockpiles of cheap shelf stable stuff like dry rice and beans, a UV light to disinfect anything you get delivered. This sounds exactly like what a biologically engineered superweapon would look like. The only saving grace is if they really are extra virulent maybe people will die from them so fast they dont spread it too much.
