AMD has a similar technology tho
Sounds like your pretty down right now and if your posting about it here im guessing maybe you dont have anyone your comfortable talking to about it. Would you want to add me on matrix or something and just chat? You can talk about whats going on and see if i can give any advice or we can just chat about whatever. I am also in my 20s and pretty broke so i know the struggle and know how isolating it can be. Especially when its not like youve got money to go do anything social.
because we are nothing but a prop to them. If it were politically expedient theyd genocide us too
Lol i think most of us Linux people just forget how basic most peoples computer usage is. An example, i wanted a program yesterday. Im on Manjaro and it was a .deb so i had to look it up in the AUR, clone it, compile and install it. All in command line. To someone who is used to that its not a big deal just some copy and paste and searching. To someone who is used to windows where you download .exe, and click install thats a herculean task.
I disagree that people shouldnt use linux if they cant fix stuff on their own etc. I fully support making some distros entirely GUI and really easy to use because some people just need that and theres nothing wrong with not wanting to get all into the weeds setting up a computer. Thats the whole point of distros is to have various options for different use cases. I hope youll be able to find a linux setup that works for what you need. As of now a little bit of terminal may be needed even in the easier to use distros depending on what your doing tho.
So my personal take is this. Either Iran responds strongly, or doesnt right? If they respond strongly then the US and The Israeli Occupation likely keep striking back and it keeps escalating. If they do not then the lack of a response could embolden the Israeli Occupation to commit more violence and that also leads to escalation.
I do not think with the known mentality of belligerence the zionists have that this ends anyway other than war.
I mean ya they might biologically be human, but mentally whatever is going on be it something broken when they were born, or just something that developed over time due to their twisted worldview is fucked up in there. They have no empathy, no compassion, no morals. If Aliens showed up i would rush to meet one so i could try to explain that we all arent like these monsters and not to judge us as a species based on their evil. In reality most of the like base of support are just brainwashed people who dont really know what we as leftists know, but still have empathy and compassion. Thats even true for a good chunk of like fascist supporters too. They could be fixed if you just like got them to listen and explained things to them. Altho that would be hard. But many of these leaders and more committed libs know everything we know and actively choose to be evil. Those people arent savable. The only cure for that is to imprison them, fight them, and make sure they have no power in this world to hurt others with.
I have a lot of dietary restrictions to make it better. A bit of constipation is actually a huge improvement for me as ive been to the ER multiple times because i was emptying my entire digestive tract and literally passing out from the pain. I have some significant intolerance's too like gluten(could be Oligosaccharides idk), and eggs which restrict me a lot in what i can have. FODMAP is a bit complicated because its like a grouping of different things and some of them i have no problem with, or are actually beneficial while others do mess me up. Like Sugar Alcohols like Xylitol actually help i have a really expensive gum thats pure xylitol and it helps to keep my digestion normal. Altho too much can be a problem. Its really complicated and weird. Like one thing ive figured out recently is if i take NSAIDs for a couple days it triggers a really bad episode. So i try to avoid them in general now but if i had to i just would not use them for too long.
My laptop has a microsd card reader that when filled is almost flush so i just keep a micro sd card in there and have timeshift back up to it. Partitioned with full disk encryption so it cant just be stolen and scanned.
Ya i maybe wasnt clear i was talking of like far in the future when i mentioned the shrinking to cities. There will definitely be a collapse of what we have now, but it will restructure and shrink down to adapt basically. There will be long periods of chaos in a lot of regions. And global supply chains will definitely break down. But you already see nation states moving to become self contained. The US and China are big examples both are making moves to be able to make semiconductors domestically. Short term youll see more of that, and long term i think we will see nation states in general cease to exist as they just cant adapt. Perhaps with some notable exceptions like China. Agriculture will like you mentioned go vertical and indoors as the climate will just be too unpredictable to do it outside anymore. When i mentioned us all living in cities i wasnt exactly talking about the cities we have now. I think many will be abandoned. Some may be transitioned to a new form but we will also just make new ones since the locations we want them in will change.
With extreme weather events becoming more common i don't think the whole evacuate and rebuild thing we do now will work anymore especially with less of a supply chain to support us so i think what we will do is basically build cities that are capable of withstanding the most powerful storms with ease. Think skyscrapers that have retractable steel coverings for windows, and power lines that run deep underground. Living outside of these cities would basically be a death sentence as even if you survive the storms, and wildfires, and floods, and droughts growing food will be impossible in most areas outside.
i see it happening in stages.
(Ill guess at a timeline now-2035)Stage 1. The beginning of the collapse as geopolitical tensions and climate disasters begin to get worse and worse. We are seeing it happen as i type this.
(2035-2050)Stage 2 is collapse of the global supply chain, and of most nation states. At this point we will see a worldwide famine that kills a large percentage of humanity. And lots of refugees. Lots of wars. Etc.
(2050-2070)Stage 3 will be us subsisting off of the scraps of the old world. Recycling and reusing the things we cant get anymore so easily. Youll still have some new stuff being made but itll be really expensive.
(2070-2100)Stage 4 will be once we have begun to setup significant industrial production again in most regions. While yes some raw materials only exist in certain regions you can make do without them in a lot of cases(think like batteries. Lithium might be the best but its not the only kind we have.) and we will find work arounds. And in cases where we cant we will just recycle. Landfill mining for materials will be common. There is a lot of useful raw materials in our trash.
(2100+)Stage 5 will be when we really start to get back in gear. Building those hardened cities i was talking about, ramping up industry, having some global trade again but probably not to the same extent atleast for awhile since people wont want to be reliant on others again. Youll see us start to venture out into space, and really start to push technology forward again at this point i think. After almost 100 years of struggling on earth i think people will be itching to see what else is out there.
I think the recovery will be faster in areas like China. Places that are already isolated like DPRK will do much better. It wont be as tough of a transition. Ironically American sanctiona might be a blessing in disguise for some places. Forcing them to adapt sooner.
Its very unlikely the world "ends" imo. Much more likely we see a massive depopulation event and lose 80% or so of our population. As long as there are places that preserve our knowledge tho we will recover eventually.
i do typically go for oat milk if im gonna drink it. But for recipes that use milk u cant just sub in nut milk all the time.
Well i think its more to deal with wild animals that wander in and attack the cows lol
