There is an argument to be made that neither Dagoth Ur not the tribunal are strictly speaking "gods" by Elder Scrolls' definitions. They have godlike powers thanks to the heart, but they are referred to as false gods by all the Deadric gods you interact with.

Heck, the main quest is basically Azura using you as her vessel to expose the falsity of the Tribunal's claim to godhood.

Although, if you go one level deeper and you buy into Vivec actually achieving Chim, then it could be argued he is at least as godlike as Talos (who used his understanding of Chim to retcon the actual history of Tamriel). Which is another can of worms, because his godhood is also questioned and the whole reason his worship was outlawed in the white-gold concordant....

Oh Elder Scrolls lore, how I love your convoluted nature.

"Big surprise" said everyone with half a brain.

Seriously though, this is working exactly as intended by the UCP - they want to have Alberta's faith pinned to the petro dollar to stay in power. Hard times, global downturn? Blame everyone for ruining Alberta's precious oil industry -> vote UCP to stick it to the federal government. Good times, oil boom? The UCP freed us from the green yoke the federal government is trying to force on us -> vote UCP to keep your heard-earned success.

Sure, but let's all agree it could be worse.

If it were added to this meme, it'd have a reaction somewhere between the Supra and the Eclipse. Something like "oh, okay".

For a nation so thoroughly comprised of migrants as Canada, I can't understand the conservative tendencies to rail against both the people that were already here and the new migrants coming in. This is about the clearest "fuck you, got mine" attitude I've seen beside prejudice against the homeless (practiced by the same group of people).

Still trying to get through Animal Well. The cat disc keeps tripping me up as I need to make it to the final flame with the fake disc.

Also picked up Tears of the Kingdom again, trying to complete all the shrines.

I don't think 20% of the populace hope DJT is our next president, but I sure as hell believe 20% of people looking to elect Poilievre hope he mimics his policies when he becomes PM.

I'm looking forward to this. Lego games always seem to deliver on capturing the spirit of the original work while adding some (often much needed) levity and charm. Having played HZD and having struggled to get through Forbiden West, I am looking forward to their take on the franchise.

Agreed. I want someone to step up and build a photography-centric phone like the Nokia Lumia 1020 again. I know lots of flagships can take good pictures nowadays, but that's something different from building an actual camera first phone.

Alternative title: Unity about to get sued into settlement or bankruptcy due to legal fees by Nintendo, Sony, and a bunch of others over unilaterally announced installation fee.

Yes, but at the time Excel didn't support concurrency either ;-)

Anyway, you are correct about the issue with concurrent writes, but that's only because Access was intended as a single user DB. If you wanted a multi-user DB you should be getting MS SQL server.

Not saying this product strategy worked (it clearly didn't, otherwise people would not be using Excel), but that's how they envisioned it to work.

But at some point the upper class depends on more than just cheap labor. You need educated people to innovate, you need a well-paid middle class to support a consumption economy. If everyone is uneducated and destitute the whole house of cards upon which the upper class is able to exist will collapse.

I just don't understand how the concept of "a rising tide lifts all boats" is so lost on some policy makers.

Never to late to build another canal...I feel the shipping in the gulf of Mexico would benefit from a shorter route to the eastern ports.
