Really weird to carpet bomb a country BEFORE doing anything about hostages that were taken there especially when the country is smaller than the state of Rhode Island by almost a factor of 10. Other countries have already gotten people freed, Israel was busy putting the hostages in danger.

Those bands have great uses too imo, further range than 5g, great for beacons, telemetry, low bandwidth send and recieve. Could be really useful and the only upside of discontinuatuon is maybe they'll let me and the other amateur radio operators play around on segments of those bands eventually. All the stuff you kick off the 2/3g networks will need to be updated and start clogging the 5g bands. Needless traffic on frequencies that could be reserved for denser traffic. Im sure profits will rise slightly for maybe a year or two though, so clearly a worthwhile decision.

I have little faith in the amount of movement you can actually cause from inside the system personally but Im not going to pretend my way is the only way, it's good that people try. It sounds like this is someone on whom the ethics weighed heavily from the very beginning and their resignation when it became too much supports that. I could be very wrong on my analysis, but someone who's got the moral fortitude to leave at all like this is probably among the better people in those positions for what that's worth. I guess what I'm trying to express is that I feel like most people in positions like theirs are not as ethically inclined as they were, at least from the views I get on the outside.

At the rate of industrial investment into this tech coupled with some places punishing gas cars, a cheap car that spans the gap from now until affoedable and better EVs is the perfect prescription, not to mention we havent stopepd having some form or financial crises since covid.

France has banned Hijabs and Abaya robes in schools not just Niqabs. Egypt is preventing people from hiding their face in school, France is doing a lot more. Biden is literally one thing: Not Trump. He's not inspiring, he doesn't energize people to go out and vote, hes not as good a speaker as Obama, not as funny to laugh at as GW Bush, and not as doom-post bait as Trump. Idk who they were trying to tap into with a Biden movie(book i misread). People literally vocalized that they voted for him because they wanted to stop caring about politics again. You'd still pull more Biden voter views with a movie about Trump and thats half the problem with our political media in general.

imo if the religion itself violates the separation of church and state by meddling in affairs of the state, then in the name of separation of church and state they MUST react somehow, separation doesn't just go one way. This especially counts the evangelicals who dabble in politics.
