Is he holding one of these?

Yep, and it's compulsory voting, on a sensible day of the week and even pre-poll so you can just go in early if you want to. And sometimes there are sausages.

Same with Australia. Seems a bit disingenuous to say it's banned, it's a government worker policy.

All of these AI prompts sound like begging. We're begging computers to do things for us now.

It took me way too long to realise the keys on my keyboard are uppercase. Is this really something people worry about? What happens when I want a capital letter, do I need a different Google keyboard?!

I’m sure someone somewhere is happy with themselves.

I haven't heard of this before, but why is a reader a threat to a company? What's the issue?

I love how much Star Trek gets into everything around here

Also Aussie sites often cover news in the UK.

I'm not sure if I'm doing this wrong but when I browse Everything I can swipe posts away to hide them. But on my local instance when I swipe I get a message the post is on a remote instance. Is there a way to change this?

Installing Batocera (aussie.zone)
submitted 1 year ago by alansuspect@aussie.zone to c/linux@lemmy.ml

I've tinkered with Linux installations before but the last time I made changes to a BIOS it looked 8-bit, not like a windows program (I use Macs, for reference).

I have a Dell Inspiron 5502 (2021) that I just want to remove Windows from and install Batocera for gaming, but I can't figure out how to wipe it.

I'm running Batocera from USB but when I go to "Install on a new disk" there are no targets available. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

The most common gesture I've been missing up to this point is swipe to hide. Now it's back and I'm so happy!

It's not FOSS but I've been using Photopea since I ditched Adobe years ago, it's a decent alternative.
