I mean isn't this, Lemmy, an answer as well?

Noticable shift in his content for me to me too.

Technical details:

Does this mean anything to anyone else? I just see question marks (on Lemmy and Fenic)

While it is funny (honestly replacing any tech term with circlejerk in a tech article makes it sound so funny to me, I have the mind of a child), it's not very relevent here.

Honestly even this platform, but any public platform without e2e and the direct choice of who to share it with.

I have to admit the fact that I got the metaphor BEFORE I got all of the technical aspects might be a sign that it was given more attention than projects normally do. I personally love how fun and dorky it is though

It also takes the fun out of mischievous rule breaking/bending if you are the sort that likes to push boundaries. It's an acknowledgement of the cat and mouse game and a meta ask to not play it here, implying the other player won't find it fun.

Again only works for good faith actors.

I say this as a guy who can't help but think of rules lawyering to see what could technically be done within them.

Openinsulin is one of those donations that I never cancel the reoccurring payments too. It's a huge problem in the US but also places all around the world that even universal healthcare just here in the states wouldn't solve, but pushing for open development and lowering costs makes it easier for people not in wealth to get.

I mean obviously for the community this is bad, but I 100% get that doing anything for free is best effort. They don't even need to have this policy 100% of the time to make large orgs using FOSS with no SLA for vulnerability patching sweat. Which frankly they should.

For real, I'm gonna use this as a tactic to say "we shouldn't rely on software without warranty and support, FOSS or proprietary.". Just to get money flowing to devs, because for it's for real reckless to contribute nothing to keeping pieces of your critical infra secure

Depends on your security model IMHO. If unencrypted dns traffic on your network, or your router being a possible aggretion point for dns requests from devices on your network is fine, then it is a great way to simplify using it for your network.

I imagine it's probably good for 98% of people.

Distrotube has no journalistic integrity. I want to like him, but he is so willing to ignore the facts for his spin on things I refuse to watch him anymore.

To expand on why snaps are Ubuntu only is because the back end for snap distribution is proprietary.
