Minecraft is mostly popular with people who were 5 - 12 years old 10 years ago.
It's the lesser of two evils vs. for-profit dating apps.
Trump is a Russian asset
Hope it's not as bad as I think ("as bad as I think" means "mass killings;") What else can I do? Everyone else here seems to be privileged enough to have the skills or plain cash to say "I'll go somewhere else," isn't as worried as they should be, or think they're Apocalypse Badass Man (see: accelerationists.) That's not me. I'm unskilled, poor, I have the self-introspection to know I don't have what it takes to be a revolutionary.
Until it actually boils over or we get rid of first past the post (and you'll need MASSIVE protests to do the latter.)
Fuck accelerationists. They're either dumbfucks who think their Apocalypse Badass Man fantasies will come true (and contrary to popular belief this person absolutely exists on the left,) or yuppies who know they have an easy out in the form of either a work visa in somewhere like Canada or leeching from a developing country working remotely and not contributing to where they live at all (and so many of these yuppies are self-proclaimed collectivists.) The rest of us are getting out of here in a casket or a refugee boat if it boils over. So how about we take at least a modicum of effort to take care of our society. Voting is the bare minimum.

USA.
I'm pretty sure most people would agree USA now is a worse place than USA in the 80s/90s, but austerity measures that hurt almost everyone now but helped the economy in the short term are a big reason why the 80s and 90s were prosperous for many. We're finally starting to turn away from austerity and unions are growing in strength, but that's not to say that (relatively speaking) the economy is good here, inflation is hitting hard, and who knows if Republicans win 2024.
The biggest existential threat to the country is the attempted hostile takeover by theocrats, which has been well over 40 years in the making, is nothing short of conspiracy, and quite frankly I think secession talks should get serious if Trump wins in 2024, even moreso if Rs get a majority in Congress. Maybe this comes off as panicky, but there's a reason women, LGBT people, and non-whites are the biggest buyers of guns now. I can't afford one.
At this point whether Republicans or Democrats will win 2024 feels like a coin flip. Biden's polling worse than Trump (neither is polling great) but also Democrats are winning most special elections (usually special elections go to Republicans) and a slue of anti-gerrymandering court decisions are taking effect, not to mention Trump could be in jail (and a bunch of other politicians from both parties are getting sued.)
I say this as someone who hates the man: At the time of the 2016 election, he was the most energetic politician of my lifetime. You could see that he excited his audience, people got caught up. And this was the party that usually has the less charismatic politicians.
It was also that Americans were sick of politics as usual. That's also what drove Bernie Sanders' momentum.
Not manually. Windows does it automatically if you have an HDD and defragging an SSD is bad
Not entirely, but we can control it. I would absolutely argue that we live in some of the least tribalistic times in history (though I will say that I worry that it's now on the rise.)
Put the source code up for Facebook, Instagram, Horizon Worlds, and Threads, and shut it down.
Transition WhatsApp into a federated app (I know much of the world is dependent on it.)
Sell Reality Labs.
NYC, San Francisco, and Santa Monica did it. A lawsuit Airbnb put forth to to block it in NYC got dismissed even.
