Hope it's not as bad as I think ("as bad as I think" means "mass killings;") What else can I do? Everyone else here seems to be privileged enough to have the skills or plain cash to say "I'll go somewhere else," isn't as worried as they should be, or think they're Apocalypse Badass Man (see: accelerationists.) That's not me. I'm unskilled, poor, I have the self-introspection to know I don't have what it takes to be a revolutionary.

Those of us who don't live in an "out of sight out of mind" fairytale and aren't ignorant of the world enough to not realize the Internet has become an essential utility now, know that this would harm many of the groups negatively affected by hate speech probably more than hate speech does; many oppressed minority groups do not have access to quality education. Some of us are from countries or of ethnicities that have history with minimum IQ requirements for, say, voting. To say nothing of how IQ tests contain Western cultural biases and might not even actually be good at measuring intelligence.

I'm not actively mad about it but I agree it shouldn't have been done and shouldn't be normalized.

There were a few attempts to make metric time. Revolutionary France tried it and Swatch Internet Time was an attempt by a Swiss watch company during early internet days, honestly it was probably a promo stunt rather than an earnest attempt, but a few things supported it, including PHP and the MMO Phantasy Star Online.

Overall it'd probably lean toward the middle of the left side, with no strong leaning on the Authoritarian/Libertarian axis.

Very few people on here that aren't to the left of Blairites or Establishment Democrats. Quite a few Marxist-Leninists, but not a majority. The few right-of-center people here seem to be either Euroskeptics or ancaps who somehow still believe any alternative from the corporate mainstream will be mostly used by ancaps.

I'd say they are. "Mom groups who want to play Animal Crossing-esque games" certainly aren't what I'd think of when I'd think "dedicated gaming enthusiasts," at least not what most people are thinking of.

Steam Deck lacks publicity relative to Nintendo Switch or even traditional PC gaming, but the product itself is absolutely more accessible than traditional PC gaming, even if not as accessible as consoles.
