I think the reason may be two-fold.

The first part, in the eyes of most older people, a man is not supposed to be emotional or give into their more “feminine” feelings. This means they don’t want their wives or children to be the ones that hear the things that concern them or probably scare them, deep down. Most of the stances of conservatives seem rooted in fear, not reason.

The second part is that you are another man, a younger man, and because they don’t know you well you are less risky to tell these things to. They can confide their fears in you because you are a young man, with a life ahead of you and you’ll give them an ear even if you don’t intend to. Really they are probably hoping someone will hear them even if they can’t really pour their hearts out.

Seems like the consensus on this one is it isn’t worth it and until they fix their licensing it’s more risky to use as anything other than a day project. In fact, the licensing is kind of dubious for project work because of its weird stipulations.

Modern non-stick is great, but you have to get the right ones. The cheap non-stick is terrible, stuff like Calphalon is great. You spend a bit more, but it makes cooking and cleaning so much easier.

I doubt many are looking for 8-bay DAS, anything larger than 4-bay you are probably better off with NAS. Many DAS have limited RAID support, which can make having more drives more risky.

Understanding their target audience but not catering to that target audience means this is an article preaching to the choir. Most people literate enough to skim through and make sense of this are already aware of how uncommon deep literacy is.

I remember missing a certification test for a legitimate reason, calling to reschedule, spending hours on the phone with Pearson and being told there’s nothing to be done. They couldn’t refund, reschedule or be bothered with me even after I paid $150 for an exam and called soon after. Somehow the pinnacles of knowledge are corporations that care less about your knowledge and are much more concerned with emptying your wallets like a bully after lunch money.

Is there an e-bike megathread or recommendations in the community, or adjacent communities for that matter? I would love to find a good commuter bike

The users already made their intentions clear with their instance rules acting as proxy. It’s an aggressive stance and it is not conducive to fair and open conversations about anything.
