I hope we’re done with those robots. Jeffrey Combs is a lot of fun as the evil supercomputer but I really don’t want to see anymore major plot lines around them.

Idk if it’s immoral or not, but if Disney is resorting to AI to keep the content slurry flowing that’s more a sign of growing creative bankruptcy than anything.

One of my big complaints in the earlier seasons was that the show wasn’t very funny for a comedy, but it’s actually getting better. The whole Ferengi tv thing was great.

The resolution to the Rutherford and Tendi subplot was interesting to me in that it made explicit the way that their easy familiarity with each other as best friends and coworkers is predicated on a blithe, willful obliviousness to any other romantic feelings between them. I’m curious to see how that plays out in future episodes.

He’s kind of a legacy act at this point but his tours still sell like crazy and he’s had some pretty successful projects in the last few years.

The dynamics of the CCP are really fascinating and widely misunderstood. Mostly for political reasons people I’m the west these days try and portray Xi as someone with absolute power but that really isn’t the case. Not to say that it’s a democracy or anything.

There’s less content on lemmy, but I’m sticking around because I can still get articles and discussions and I don’t have to be staring at my phone or computer all the time anyway. We all make up these communities online and some asshole treating it as his personal property isn’t something we should have to suffer. I’ll take less content if it spares me the indignity of letting guys like that win.

Fines aren’t near enough at this point, we need public executions at a minimum to put a dent in this problem.

I was surprised they didn’t roll this out from the jump, I bet they could have gotten a lot more accounts to do it on the dl. But now everyone is pot committed to blue checks being cringe or not.

The pessimism comes because the overall trend looks bad, and people feel alienated politically and just in general.
